Into the Jungle

Rio de Janeiro is a jungle. A human jungle, raw and wild. I arrived from Buenos Aires two weeks ago and first stayed at a hostel near Copacabana beach. A few days later I moved into a room in the Santa Teresa district on a hill overlooking Rio. Enjoy these first impressions.

Faramarz: I tried Cachaça! It's worse that aragh sagi!
I love the animal figures instead of politicians on their money too. Maybe they are trying to say politicians are real animals? :)

You just got to love a country that has the pictures of animals on its currency!
Brasil is the most-loved country in the world. But please be careful.
Try to make it to a football match while you are down there. Empty your pockets before you leave your place and don't sit in the cheap-seats section.
Also, stay away from Cachaça!
It is made of sugar cane that gives you the most incredible hangover and headache the next day. Also you won't remember a thing that you did the night before, which is not a good thing!
Crime?
