Complaints on rising dollar

Central Bank official responds

BBC: Iran's beleaguered currency, the rial, has fallen to fresh record lows against the US dollar, according to media reports coming out of the country. The rial fell a further 9% on Tuesday, following Monday's 18% decline, news agencies have reported. The currency has reportedly lost more than 80% of its value since 2011 because of US-led trade sanctions >>>

  "The current

by vildemose on

"The current inexperienced policies resemble those of Mirza Aghasi, the PM during Mohammad Shah Qajar who similarly gave away Iran’s largest trade advantages to foreign countries, at the expense of our people.

All the “unilateral” contracts in the last eight years have forced our country into a consumer market for sub-standard goods; exported over two million industrial jobs to China, Turkey, India and Malaysia; turned our oil and gas industry into the most outdated within OPEC and Caspian region, which has curtailed our ability to extract oil from the shared zones. All this compounded by the sudden removal of subsidies on production and fuel transportation, as well as granting all major projects to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) that grossly lack technical expertise and management skills, has pushed us down the deepest economic abyss in the last 71 years.

Spiraling unemployment and not paying workers’ wages have focused the economic pressure mostly on our working class and laborers who hold up our industry, agriculture and transportation, which are the foundation of our economy.

Vildemose, sanctions are harming all businesses and people

by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on

the authorities are impacted less as they can get money from other sources like controlingl the currency exchange and are making good profits, i hope eventually the income they are losing will not be made up by currency manipulaton, though it may be an optimisitic view of a regime that doesn't care for its own peoples suffering.

Did anyone understand what the hell that dude was talking about?

by Reality-Bites on

Because I sure as hell didn't!

This is a perfect time to turn to God, after 33 years of

by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on

failure, a little more focus on true God is the answer.  I am serious, since  1 dollar used to be 17 toman, cost of goods were cheaper, year on year, when people listened to a secular clergy and faced a real god.  Now is the time to Pray for a return to secular government.  I Pray the shah and his team of individuals are prepared to come back and for the people to enjoy the legitimacy of irans Monarchy based on the justness of the results produced and their service for the good of society.  Not based on a system of purchasing a reputation and purchasing a position.

 So IRI's

by vildemose on

So IRI's leadership (Basiji/sepah/quods) love the sanctions and are profitting from it while they can buy the dollar for Khodis for $1300?

So, what is the real cause of dollar going through the roof?? Sanctions? or the corrupt charlatans running the country?

Solution is IRI's fall!

Chaos all over Iran!

A type of sanction that is designed to create ways….

by Bavafa on

To get rich on the back of Iranian people by crooks and charlatans both inside and outside of the country.  I hope any illicit profit/money made as a result of these sanctions or its advocacy of it both by insiders like Sepah/Basij or outsiders are spent on Dava o Doktor in the worse possible way.

'Hambastegi' is the main key to victory

just like fred said

My prediction

dollar will hit 5000, then 10000, 100000, and then you will wake up one day and it will be 1or 2 million tomans!!!

All prices in Iran have sky rocketed , people can not afford basic things like food and cloths for their family and kids!  unlike 2009 this is about servival of their  family and kids ! you will see mass demonstrations and chaos against the incompetent IRI really soon. something that you have not ever seen before!

I wonder if

by azadi5 on

When she asked for that chart to be shown and it wasn't, if it was intetional as it would depict a visual exponential rise of price of dollar and the gap between what the givernment sets and what it is being sold for.

There is no end in sight. I wonder what the price of dollar is in iran today, probably hovering around 4000 toman.

by hirre on

The only way the IR can get dollars is by selling oil, but the countries that buy the oil won't pay (that much) in dollars, it's either in rupies, yuan etc... Exchanging those currencies to dollars will have its fees, that's why the price for dollar goes up along with mismanagement....

What was this guy talking about? He was talking like a robot and it looked like he was reading from somewhere!

Reading between the lines, this guy was saying that they don't have a clue how to control the market.

$ for terrorists

by Fred on

The Messianic Islamist Rapists should stop funding terrorist
Hamas, Hezbollah, Syrian Battists… and instead pump those millions and millions of dollars into the local currency market.
