by long live Iran on Thu Mar 29, 2012 04:33 AM PDTProfessor Vali Nasr is someone whom as an Iranian I am proud of him.
Long Live IRAN for EVER.
PS. To Rajavi`s slaves: try to see his points and come out of the dark world your blood-thirsty master, Rajavi, made for you.
Character killing experts forum?
by choghok on Thu Mar 29, 2012 03:56 AM PDTAlmost everybody stated here who his father and grandfather are and how bad they were. So what? "Girim pedaret bood Faazel..." If you think his arguments are wrong then please come with your own, and also send us the name of your father and grand fathers name so we can discuss them here as well.
thanks in advance.
Facilitator
by omeedvar on Wed Mar 28, 2012 07:14 PM PDTHis father, Seyed Hossein Nasr, facilitated replacement of Pahlavi Regime with the Islamic Regime. The son got the prize!
Congrats to Vali Nasr but he has been moving to the left
by Oon Yaroo on Wed Mar 28, 2012 06:19 PM PDTmore and more ever since he moved from the Naval Post Graduate School to Tufts and now here he is in Johns Hopkins probably sharing an office with Zibig.
What is he saying?
US should negotiate with IRR!?
That's ridiculous!
The IC possy is right!
by MM on Wed Mar 28, 2012 04:13 PM PDTHe should be guilty by being the son. As matter of fact, let's see if he has an unborn preferraby son that we can also accuse of being this and that.
I guess nobody saw that VN is a consultant to the US State dept and Dean of a prestigious US International studies dept?
PS, congratuLations, doc.

by shushtari on Wed Mar 28, 2012 03:10 PM PDTbecause you wear a tie, doesn't mean you're not with the akhoonds....I heard his 'analysis' and he is very similar to parsi.....where he rarely, if ever, criticizes the vile regime of the rats who have overrun our country and spilled the blood of millions of iranians
Seyed Hossein Nasr
by Shahriar Zahedi on Wed Mar 28, 2012 03:03 PM PDTHis daddy is out there. But that shouldn't be a reflection on the son.
The big question
by MRX1 on Wed Mar 28, 2012 02:51 PM PDTis how how much father and son are apart on shiekh o omati psychee and issues. His father was an spritual leader of IRI. Time will tell if son is on the same boat or not.
Congratulations :) !

Excellent Choice
by iraj khan on Wed Mar 28, 2012 10:00 AM PDTWe are glad to hear this good news.
Iranian Americans are slowly being chosen to head University departments.
As quoted in the Johns Hopkins Gazette, "Vali Nasr is a distinguished scholar and teacher, an adept policy analyst and adviser, a highly regarded public intellectual, and an accomplished administrator," said Ronald J. Daniels, president of Johns Hopkins, who recommended the appointment to the executive committee of the university's board of trustees.
Traitor to Iran
by masoudA on Wed Mar 28, 2012 09:42 AM PDTWell deserved placement into a Department (School of Advanced International Studies - lool) financed by Alavi Foundation and IR money!! Thank god - at least he was ousted from the Obama White House.

Congrats!
