Radio France International: Iranian lawyer Javid Houtan Kian was arrested in September 2010 in connection with his defense of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, the Iranian woman sentenced to stoning over charges of adultery. Javid Houtan Kian has been subjected to continuous pressure inside the Methadone Ward of Tabriz Prison, according to a letter he has managed to send out of prison this week.
In this RFI interview, Iranian lawyer and human rights activist Abdolkarim Lahiji speaks about Houtan Kian's treatment inside Tabriz prison.
The methadone section of the prison is reportedly where addicts and prisoners suffering from infectious diseases are held, and prison authorities have forbidden Houtan Kian’s cellmates from establishing any sort of contact with him.
Houtan Kian was arrested in September 2010 at his office, together with two German journalists and Sajjad Ghaderi, son of Sakineh Mohammadi.
The lawyer was accused of acting against national security and, according to reports from human rights organizations, he was tortured and forced to give televised confessions against himself. Houtan Kian has been sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Make sure they know that he is imprisoned by the Fascist Velayate Faghih Regime for no other reason than doing his job as a defence lawyer. Be his voice. Be the voice of every single compatriot imrisoned & tortured by the Fascist Islamic regime.

Iranians of all walks of life taking a stand for their freedom and just rights. They are to be commanded and supported by all freedom loving folks. Iranians need to stand united in their support for these brave souls, support their goals and aspiration for a free independent and prospers Iran.
Foreign nations which thru their apartheid policy practice the same insanity and unjust detentions cannot be a good example for the future of Iran and need not to apply.
My hat off to each and every one fo these brave souls.

Islamist Rapists
by Fred on Wed Jun 06, 2012 03:40 AM PDTThe only way to stop 34 years of messianic Islamist Rapists’ barbarism is regime change.
If not accompanied with offering ideas to put a permanent end to the savagery, verbal condemnation of the Islamist Rapists is a feel-good exercise.
There is no wonder Islamist Rapists, their lobbies and gofers prefer the reaction to be verbal only.
Regime change and helping hand from democracies is the last thing they want to hear.Airtight sanctions plus air/naval cargo inspection along with logistical help to the Iranian people who want to overthrow the Islamist Rapists, “reformist” and all, is a must.
Where are Iranian attorneys in the free world taking legal actions against Islamist Rapists?
