Iran warns U.S. aircraft carrier not to return

"Iran will not repeat its warning"

Reuters - Iran threatened on Tuesday to take action if the U.S. Navy moves an aircraft carrier into the Gulf, Tehran's most aggressive statement yet after weeks of saber-rattling as new U.S. and EU financial sanctions take a toll on its economy. Army chief Ataollah Salehi said the United States had moved an aircraft carrier out of the Gulf because of Iran's naval exercises, and Iran would take action if the ship returned. "Iran will not repeat its warning...the enemy's carrier has been moved to the Sea of Oman because of our drill. I recommend and emphasize to the American carrier not to return to the Persian Gulf," he said >>>

US NAVY Commander to the IRR ragheads! ....

We don't need to be in the Persian Gulf. We can obliterate all of you from 1000's of miles away!

A game of names

by divaneh on

And after the US Aircraft Carrier returned and Iran did nothing, the same commander stated: "We told them not to come back to the PERSIAN GULF and they got scared and changed its name to THE GULF. As you know we never said they can not come back to The Gulf, we said they can't come back to the Persian Gulf. They are just such chickens."

This is called itching for a war. To tell the US Navy that it cannot sail in the international waters is in fact asking for trouble. With such excuse, US wouldn't need a security council resolution to attack Iran.

Obama's Reaction - Just in!

by Faramarz on

Here is what Obama said, "After I watched the Islamic Republic's maneuvers and the show of force and after much reflections I would like to tell the American people that, you have elected me to safeguard the American lives and after this tremendous display of force by the IR Navy and their awesome display of force, not only we will get out of the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean, but we will also retreat from the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans!

As of next month our aircraft carriers will be pulled back to the safety of Lake Tahoe and Lake Michigan!"

The Pentagon has responded to an Iranian warning to keep United States aircraft carriers out of the Gulf by declaring that US warships will continue regularly scheduled deployments to the strategic waterway.

George Little, the Pentagon press secretary, said on Tuesday that the navy operates in the Gulf in accordance with international law and to maintain "a constant state of high vigilance" to ensure the flow of sea commerce.

Earlier in the day, Iran's army chief warned an American aircraft carrier not to return to the Gulf. Iran has also warned it could block one of the world's key oil tanker sea lanes in response to economic pressures.

Jay Carney, the White House press secretary, dismissed Iran's warnings as signs of Tehran's weakness and of the international isolation it has faced for pursuing a nuclear programme.

"It's the latest round of Iranian threats and is confirmation that Tehran is under increasing pressure for its continued failure to live up to its international obligations," Carney said. "Iran is isolated and is seeking to divert attention from its behaviour and domestic problems."

Russians message at minute 5.40

by kazem0574 on

This clip is from the Russian RT satellite channel and I guess one can assume what is said here is what Russia is saying to the world.

In this clip the US Carrier leaving the Gulf constitutes only a Nanosecond  and the whole clip says nothing new,  until you get to minute 5.40 where the guest speaker literally says if Iran is attacked, its friendly neighbours will get involved and the whole conflict will spiral into something much bigger than a surgical fire-and-forget attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Who can be counted as IRI’s potential friend in its neighbourhood?

I can only envisage Russia as although Pakistan is not very US friendly for the time being, its no real friend of IRI.

 The IRI has never been

by vildemose on

The IRI has never been good at judging American's intentions...Trying to provoke a US into a war in the most strategic waterway is beyond absure and profoundly dangerous. It sounds like the stupid IRI leadership really wants this war. Are they that stupid???

A state of war only serves as an excuse for domestic tyranny.--Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.

Why don't they try to capture it, like the US drone plane?  That would be fun - first aircraft carrier for Iran!
