by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Feb 27, 2012 03:38 PM PSTI am not familiar with Elnaz Shakerdoost. I have seen movies from Ms. Karimi and Ms. Tehrani but I have probably not watched as many movies from them as you have seen. Since I think you have seen more movies of them and you are a man, you may know better who is more of a sex symbol among them. But I can say that all three are beautiful and talented actresses.
ایشون بازیگر
CallmeRedMon Feb 27, 2012 03:32 PM PST
ایشون بازیگر درجه یک که نیست هیچ- سلیقه ش درلباس پوشیدن افتضاحه. این لباس که مثل اینه که یک لباس شب از فروشگاه راس خریده بعد هم یک هود از
Old Navy
Anahid jaan it depends what is your definition of girl next door
by Esfand Aashena on Mon Feb 27, 2012 03:29 PM PSTLeila Hatami is beautiful but she is not a "sex symbol". Elnaz Shakerdoost, Niki Karimi or Hedieh Tehrani fall more into that category.
Everything is sacred
Exactly Esfand jaan, Leila Hatami
by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Feb 27, 2012 12:59 PM PSTis not Girl Next door either. She has unique features and is too glamorous to be Girl Next Door.
Anahid Jaan Ingrid Bergman was never a "girl next door"!

Esfand Jaan,
by Anahid Hojjati on Mon Feb 27, 2012 12:47 PM PSTI don't know about girl next door. I think EastMeetsWest got it right when he/she compared Hatami to Ingrid Bergman.
Leila Hatami is Sandra Bullock of Iran! Girl next door!
by Esfand Aashena on Mon Feb 27, 2012 12:43 PM PSTFitting that Sandra Bullock gave the award!
Everything is sacred

by tabar on Mon Feb 27, 2012 02:09 AM PSTof how backwards persians are, talking about golshifteh and basically calling her a slut.
you people are disgusting and have no right to tell her what she can and can't do. in any civilised society there wouldn't be a problem, but of course we're talking about persia here! it's a shame what a religious cesspool your people and shia religion have turned iran into, and now even outside of iran you continue your misogynist traditions. congratulations, the world will see you guys for what you really are!
A great movies

Just got back from seeing this movie
by John on Sun Feb 26, 2012 05:30 PM PSTIt should have been nominated in the Best Picture category, not the best foreign language film category. A great movie!!
Ingrid Bergman of Iran
by EastMeetsWest on Sun Feb 26, 2012 01:49 PM PSTI am a big fan of Leila Hatami. She is a lady and she reminds me of Ingrid Bergman! She is elegant and classy and she has shown that unlike her counterpart she is not hungry to tear her clothes off! Good luck to her!
Separation of Leila from Pride
by Demo on Sun Feb 26, 2012 01:29 PM PSTWith all the tough times her fellow Iranians have back home, she could have instead boycotted the dinner and the phony Oscars ceremonies altogether as a sign of protest to the imposed sanctions causing many hundred thousands 'true' Iranians' stomachs sleep hungry! Shame, Leila, shame!
As for Golshifteh, she also seems to be moving high speed toward her own self liberation as it is wisely pointed by the first commentator below!
Her mother was so hot!
by Milan on Sun Feb 26, 2012 12:43 PM PSTBack in mid-70's, my friends and I were infatuated with this lady's mother (we called her Zari Khosh-Khaab!) Man, she had some steamy shower scenes with Saeed Raad.
Rumors have it that Imam Jomeh of Beverly Hills and Hollywood
by fanoos on Sun Feb 26, 2012 12:43 PM PSTwill be having a rally in support of the Separation and against the other International movie competitions! My cousin tells me that the rally will start right after the evening prayer and dinner at the Mosque of Imam Hossein right next to the O.J. Simpson's old house! I wonder how many of you supporters of IRR will show up tonight!
There is a big competition there
by iamfine on Sun Feb 26, 2012 12:04 PM PSTI just heard from foreign films there is strong completion between an Israeli film, the Iranian film (separation) and a polish film on holocaust. Good luck on separation. The good thing is Iranian in the southern California are influential in Hollywood and may be helpful to let separation to win the Oscar
She looks like she is wearing a ghondagh
by Mehrban on Sun Feb 26, 2012 11:57 AM PSTI wish her the best and hope the team of A Separation wins an Oscar in every category it has been nominated.

by Jeesh Daram on Sun Feb 26, 2012 10:21 AM PSTUnbeknown to many, Leila is the grandchild of legendary Seyyed Babak Khorram-din known as Obi Kenobi. And you can clearly see the influence of Obi Kenobi's attire on Leila's choice. Leila is also a distant third cousin to princes Leia and collectively their mission has been to finally destroy none other than the dictator Ayatollah Darth Vader. May the force be with her. Watch the clip from family archive here and the traditional dress code:
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNHAn19myaM
The video above were taken during Kohrram-din's last years of life and just after his cataract and prostate dual surgery, but see how he could still fight, like a true Iranian.
Sareh Bayat deserves nomination
by Mohammad Alireza on Sun Feb 26, 2012 09:58 AM PSTSareh Bayat was fantastic and should have received a nomination for supporting actress. She totally upstaged Leila Hatami.
If it were me I would take the scarf off and show some cleavage!
by fanoos on Sun Feb 26, 2012 09:29 AM PSTWhere is the courage and boldness of Iranian women? At least, Shirin Ebadi took hers off! Not that I think highly of her but she did it!
Leila Hatami
by Simorgh5555 on Sun Feb 26, 2012 09:26 AM PSTLeila Hatami is one of the few handful of women who wears a Hijab and still display class and sexiness. I still wish that she would remove the headscarf but she is ravishingly beautiful nonetheless and puts to shame 99.9 percent of Hollwyood acresses with her beautiful pointed nose and those to die-for lips.
Well done and best wishes.
a typical beatiful Iranian lady
by iamfine on Sun Feb 26, 2012 09:23 AM PSTHer dress makes her look more attractive
Best wishes.
