I am not familiar with Elnaz Shakerdoost. I have seen movies from Ms. Karimi and Ms. Tehrani but I have probably not watched as many movies from them as you have seen. Since I think you have seen more movies of them and you are a man, you may know better who is more of a sex symbol among them. But I can say that all three are beautiful and talented actresses.

 Leila Hatami is beautiful but she is not a "sex symbol". Elnaz Shakerdoost, Niki Karimi or Hedieh Tehrani fall more into that category.

Just got back from seeing this movie

It should have been nominated in the Best Picture category, not the best foreign language film category.  A great movie!!

Ingrid Bergman of Iran

I am a big fan of Leila Hatami.  She is a lady and she reminds me of Ingrid Bergman! She is elegant and classy and she has shown that unlike her counterpart she is not hungry to tear her clothes off! Good luck to her!

Separation of Leila from Pride

With all the tough times her fellow Iranians have back home, she could have instead boycotted the dinner and the phony Oscars ceremonies altogether as a sign of protest to the imposed sanctions causing many hundred thousands 'true' Iranians' stomachs sleep hungry! Shame, Leila, shame!

As for Golshifteh, she also seems to be moving high speed toward her own self liberation as it is wisely pointed by the first commentator below!

Rumors have it that Imam Jomeh of Beverly Hills and Hollywood

will be having a rally in support of the Separation and against the other International movie competitions! My cousin tells me that the rally will start right after the evening prayer and dinner at the Mosque of Imam Hossein right next to the O.J. Simpson's old house! I wonder how many of you supporters of IRR will show up tonight!

There is a big competition there

I just heard from foreign films there is strong completion between an Israeli film, the Iranian film (separation) and a polish film on holocaust. Good luck on separation. The good thing is Iranian in the southern California are influential in Hollywood and may be helpful to let separation to win the Oscar

I wish her the best and hope the team of A Separation wins an Oscar in  every category it has been nominated.

Unbeknown to many, Leila is the grandchild of legendary Seyyed Babak Khorram-din known as Obi Kenobi. And you can clearly see the influence of Obi Kenobi's attire on Leila's choice. Leila is also a distant third cousin to princes Leia and collectively their mission has been to finally destroy none other than the dictator Ayatollah Darth Vader. May the force be with her. Sareh Bayat deserves nomination

Sareh Bayat was fantastic and should have received a nomination for supporting actress. She totally upstaged Leila Hatami.

If it were me I would take the scarf off and show some cleavage!

Where is the courage and boldness of Iranian women? At least, Shirin Ebadi took hers off! Not that I think highly of her but she did it!

Leila Hatami is one of the few handful of women who wears a Hijab and still display class and sexiness. I still wish that she would remove the headscarf but she is ravishingly beautiful nonetheless and puts to shame 99.9 percent of Hollwyood acresses with her beautiful pointed nose and those to die-for lips.
