Bakhtiar Memari: Prisoner of the day

Death row

ICHRI: A local source told the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran that Bakhtiar Memari, 35, a Marivan Kurdish citizen, who has been in prison since August 2010, is on death row on charges of "moharebeh (enmity with God) through membership in a Kurdish political party." Memari was officially informed of his sentence inside Sanandaj Prison on May 10, 2012.

According to the human rights source, security forces arrested Bakhtiar Memarimon on August 3, 2010 in Marivan and transferred him to the Sanandaj Intelligence Office. He was interrogated under torture for three weeks during which he was not allowed to visit or call his family.

In Bakhtiar Memari's defense bill, a copy of which the Campaign has been able to see, it is reflected that the court has not presented any evidence for Memari's accusations and that the ruling was entirely based on Bakhtiar Memari's confessions, which Memari said in court were extracted from him under pressure and through brutal beating and injuries by his interrogators. Bakhtiar Memari repeatedly denied his charges during the trial process.

A source close to the family of Bakhtiar Memari has stated that Bakhtiar Memari has been additionally accused of murdering two individuals based on orders from a British intelligence organization, charges which Memari repeatedly denied in court. The court has not produced any evidence, witnesses, or weapons that could substantiate or support these accusations, solely basing the charges on Bakhtiar Memari's confessions extracted under duress, which were videotaped and broadcasted on PressTV.

"After about three months, Sanandaj Intelligence Office forces took a handcuffed and footcuffed Bakhtiar Memari, along with a camera crew, to his father's home, where he was allowed to visit with his wife and children. The forces then said that because this was his last visit with his family. The intelligence forces then took Memari to the homes of two Krudish citizens who had been murdered some time before, introduced him as their murderer, and videotaped the visit. Subsequently, PressTV aired the recording in its Iran Today segment. In January 2012, Bakhtiar Memari was additionally sentenced to death for murder, based on Qisas Law."

Bakhtiar Memari is currently on death row inside Sanandaj Central Prison. He is allowed to visit with his family once a month.

shiism is the greatest lie/curse known to humanity

There has never been a more repressive, cowardly and murderous regime to occupy Iran than the current establishment.  Iran was an enlightened and advanced civilization under the Zoroastrians and finally the Sunni Muslims.  It went downhill after the safavids imposed their illegitimate rule.

What do you say to your American friends when they see Iranians praying to their savior who hides at the bottom of a well for 1000 years?  Aren't you embarrassed?  Do you have any shame?

If this country wants freedom, Qum must be annihilated.  These bloodthirsty shiite fanatics persecuting Iranians and Syrians don't respect anything.  Their religion is spread through lying (taqqiyah), prostitution (sigheh), theft and murder.  If the iranian people weren't under threat/fear they would have abandoned the terrorist shiite religion a long time ago.

Loo at the picture and judge for yourself. What a contrast this brave Kurdish Iranian is to the bunch of cowardly bassiji murderers captured in syria by syrian freedom fighters... He'll be freed. A matter of Time now....

Dear Prison guard

by First Amendment on

Don't execute our Kurdish fighter. Period.

......and make sure his rights as a prisoner are not violated........You see, dear guard......this is the deal that I'm trying to offer to you...........if you take good, humane care of Bakhtiar, when we free our homeland I promise you that you'll have full right of having a lawyer when we send you to a court in Iran, presided by an Iranian judge, and Iranian jury...........I also hope that dear Bakhtiar will be rehabilitated enough so that instead of picking up a gun, he will sit down with us to negotiate his ethnic rights and responsibilities.........

**Some friends might have a bit of a problem with calling the prison guard a dear, I'm sure they understand that calling him a son-of-a-bitch won't be too helpful in this case........

Regime change for Bakhtiar's sake

by Fred on

For 34 years the Messianic Islamist Rapists, “reformers” and all, have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that, they are unreformable and that trampling human rights is part and parcel of their dogma.

Regime change is the only route to salvation and emancipation of Iran and legions of her captives. Backbreaking airtight sanctions plus air/naval quarantine is a must.
