Amin Chalaki: Prisoner of the day

Former Mousavi campaigner

Kaleme: Amin Chalaki, a former student campaign manager for Mir Hossein Mousavi's 2009 presidential campaign in the town of Saveh, commenced his four-year prison term at Evin Prison on August 28.

Chalaki was first arrested in Saveh on January 17, 2010, along with his wife, Somayeh Alinasab, and their 4-year old daughter. The family was then transferred to Arak Intelligence Office. After going through violent interrogations, Amin Chalaki was transferred to Tehran and was eventually released on bail 40 days later. Chalaki, his wife, and his daughter, Mana, were all interrogated at the Arak Intelligence Office, where the 4-year-old Mana was separately questioned about her parents. Mana was asked whether her father had set anything on fire on Ashura Day, December 27, 2009, to which Mana replied, "No, setting things on fire was what the Ahmadinejad supporters did." Angered by this response, the interrogators then became verbally abusive to Amin Chalaki and his wife. Mana Chalaki was later released into the custody of a family friend, according to Mizan News.

Judge Salavati of the Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced Amin Chalaki to four years in prison, and an appeal court later upheld his sentence in full. Following the recent releases of several prisoners on an Edi-al-Fitr group pardon, a large group of individuals with confirmed prison sentences have been summoned to begin serving their prison terms, Amin Chalaki only one of them.

Shame on islamist regime for putting this decent man, father and husband behind bars for trying to reform the unreformable Fascist islamist regime.

ننگ بر آنانیکه از این زندانیان شجاع برای هدف شخصی خود سؤ استفاده میکنند

Iranians of all walks of life taking a stand for their freedom and just rights.  They are to be commanded and supported by all freedom loving folks.

Iranians need to stand united in their support for these brave souls, support their goals and aspiration for a  free independent and prospers Iran.

Foreign nations which thru their apartheid policy practice the same insanity and unjust detentions cannot be a good example for the future of Iran and need not to apply.

Regime change for Amin's sake

by Fred on

Regime change is the only way out of this hell on earth the
Messianic Islamist Rapists have created for Iranians.

Backbreaking airtight sanctions plus air/naval quarantine is
a must.
