Marina Nemat!?
by comments on Wed Mar 16, 2011 01:25 PM PDTAs long as any types of awareness happens, I really don't care where the awareness is happening. Perhaps, some govenment benefits indirectly, but the governments can benefit whatsoever because of their authority power.
I am surprize that none of you questioned/critisized Marina Nemat, as the presenter. Her biography was translated in 20 languages, and it's an unusual biography.
Thanks, Golinedairani
by radius-of-the-persian-cat on Wed Mar 16, 2011 01:12 PM PDTThanks for this very clear statement. One could only add, that many gouvernments and other self-declared leaders always attempt to seed hate between nations or between people of different faith or different culture. My firm believe is that people are always able to live peaceful togehther, unless they are manipulated and fooled by political or religious cheaters.
Did anyone catch the name of the performer: Heftsiba
by Mash Ghasem on Wed Mar 16, 2011 01:08 PM PDTI bet she's from Tajikestan and her name means seven beauty. And she is.

Isreali politics and society are becoming increasingly more
by Mash Ghasem on Wed Mar 16, 2011 12:52 PM PDTconservative by the day, but there are still many, many great individuals , organizations and movements in there that oppose the current policies. As informed Iranians we should pay more attention to the sane ones. And the winds of change from tunis has reached levant.
Re:Israeli people are individuals just like Iranian people are
by alaaf on Wed Mar 16, 2011 12:42 PM PDTOk Golinedairani let me put it to you this way. Do you think organisers of this event would organise a similar event to protest Israel's Apartheid Fascist policies? Did you know it is illegal for a none Jew to marry a Jew in Israel? And I'm not even talking about religion here. I'm talking about racial Jews(as in Atheist Jews)...A couple of months ago an Arab man got a 2 years prison sentence for having consensual sex with a Jewish woman. His only crime was that he lied to her that he was Jewish.
When I left Iran I used think that the IRI was the most Evil thing since Satan himself until my eyes were opened.
More than half (a rather slight one) of Israelis
by Mash Ghasem on Wed Mar 16, 2011 12:26 PM PDTare willing to live in peace with Palestinians. There are many progressive Israeli women, workers, peace,.. organizations working with Palestinians, and Israeli Arabs. Some might say that the winds of Tunisia has not yet reached Levant, but....shab draz ast o ghalandar...
