Attackers locked up the men in the party and gang-raped five women. After the the Judiciary and Police refused to acknowledge the crime or take steps to look for the perpetrators, people gathered in protest gatherings and demanded action. Only then were statements made about a search to find the rapists. Even in this video you can see that the authorities are blaming the women at the private party for "wearing provocative clothes." by Rastin on Tue Jun 14, 2011 11:00 PM PDTI have tried, but I can't come up with a word in farsi nor english that can describe the people capable of commiting such atrocities.
Unfortunately, I don't think these problems will disappear by removal of the IRI, although I really hope that I will be proved wrong. It seems that some people have genuinely lost respect for their fellow countrymen.
The sinking process is called: Gender-Apartheid, women simply
by Mash Ghasem on Mon Jun 13, 2011 01:43 PM PDTdon't count. And if they have to be counted on the books they're only half worth, as in inheretence, homicide,...this second class 'status' is reinforced on every level of society, from work to school, ...
During one of the protests two years ago a group of men were simply gang-raping a women in the car, with security forces busy killing innocent civilians.
The interview below by Askar Oladi gives you a view of the level of insecurity for women in Iran, and the scumbags responsible for it.

They are already blaming the victims
by divaneh on Mon Jun 13, 2011 01:24 PM PDTThe victims are already blamed for their dress and alcohol consumption. How low could a nation sink to even debate the blame?

Before we get too carried away with calls of punishment...
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Mon Jun 13, 2011 11:58 AM PDTfor the perpetrators of this criminal act, Local people's main complaint has been the absolute indifference and delay in police presence in response to urgent calls of one of the female victims on her cell phone, when the attacker's turned up at the private party. A timely response by police could have indeed prevented this crime from happening.
People inside Iran can simply not help but notice the difference between this case and other cases involving a minor gathering of youth with suspected political motives, where the whole might of Islamist regime's "law and order " enforcement would have descended upon the crowd in a flash, with guns, knives, you name it!
As for the perpetrators of this crime, i am sure a good career is awaiting them in the islamist regime's "law enforcement agencies"!

I support "slut walks".........
by comments on Mon Jun 13, 2011 11:39 AM PDTWhat do we expect from such a rapist goverement? Blaming victims are always the easist and most stupidest approach.
How would they respond to this:
I love the official wifes, and their chador really turned me on. Am I justify to rape the wifes? Or,
I love men's asses, and wearing a suit or fabric pants turn me on. Am I justify to rape them?
Do we have one "standard" in the world to be turned on? Let's remember that IRI are not the only government who blame victims. A police at the University of Toronto lectured that the raped victim woman initiated the insult because she wore like a slut. Search the internet and see the "slut walks" now.
The only way that I turned off and do think that I have any sexual desire is to see someone who wears like a slut........My standard is differnet. What about yours?
A decisive action and justice is needed for this family

by عموجان on Mon Jun 13, 2011 09:50 AM PDTIf Khamenei wants over night to double his popularity around the world, all he has to do advertise benefits of converting to Islam to rapist, childe molesters, murders or even offer them citizenship of IRI.
SK, sad thing about rape happing in Muslim countries is, rape in Islam is a punishment not a crime.

SK, didn't you know?
by ComraidsConcubine on Mon Jun 13, 2011 07:15 AM PDTThe expression "gang rape" comes straight out of the Koran, which is why over a billion people are currently residing in Sodom and Gomorrah as if there were no tomorrow.
;)
However it must be pointed out that interpretations of Sharia Law could bring about "difficulties".
There is also a lot of non-islamic political crime
by radius-of-the-persian-cat on Mon Jun 13, 2011 06:49 AM PDTWithout trying to justify the criminal and violent IRI regime one should remember that violence exists outside of the islamic world and even before the islam spread in history. Just to remind you of the christian crusadors, who killed everybody from child to old people just for their "wrong" faith. 15 years ago, people from former jugoslavia killed, raped, tortured each other only to demonstrate that one nation is superior over their neighbours. And our biggest warrior for freedom and democracy, the US ? They like to go abroad if they feel that "democracy has to be washed in blood from time to time", as their chilenean lap-poodle Augusto Pinochet cited his teachers in 1973, while thousands of political opponents and supporters of the elected socialist gouvernment were arrested, tortured and killed in concentration camps. I also would like to consider this case (the coup d'etat against the Allende gouvernment) for all those here who think that left-bashing is an act of defending human rights. It is not, and too often in history it opened the road to violence and crime not less than what we see in IRI now.
