I dare say...

by Mash Ghasem on

I only wonder what his reaction would have been to the Arab Rising in North African and Middle East, and what's been happening in Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Syria, Liyba,...Iran?

P.S. Especial note of interest for Mashangi 'jan aziz': there are Facebook initiated tents and protest camps popping all over Tel Aviv, and other cities in Israel? wonder how Bourghehe would have thought about that?

I only wonder what his reaction would have been to 9/11 and what followed it.

But

Right now the problem is not Emam Zaman as much as it is the Velayet Faghi ... if even there is such a thing as emam zaman and if he shows up he will be soon sent back to the hiding....  this time probably a permanent one ... no doubt VF would kill him ...

I guess one can deny Emam Zaman and gets away with it but no one can deny VF and not be jailed or killed especially if he is a clergy ...

Thanks PN for the links

The problem is no one reads Quran. This clergy, however, did and then we see that there is at least more logic in his  statements ....

Call me old fashioned, but I do take notice of these 'minor details' about people's social background before trying to understand their political stance.

Now keep saying " a good mulla is a ...".

BTW, he is dead, like most of the "good mullahs". So go figure...

"Personal business must yield to collective interest."

I got to prove him wrong.

Let see, he is an Akhoond so he must be lying.

That was easy; boy he almost bankrupted China's souvenir manufactures

Now go back wait for EZ and shop till you drop, IRI needs it.

Mash Ghasem

There was also another ayatollah Borghaie back in the '40

by Mash Ghasem on

That's 1940's. And  he was quite progressive for his time and compared to other conservative mullahs. They used to call him the Red Ayatollah or Tudehay Ayattolah. His son is a teacher around D.C. somewhere.

Ayatollah Borgheie

He is actually an ayatollah who would be considered on the far left of the political spectrum . He is known as being an element of dissent because of the non-conformity of his beliefs.

He has a more rationalistic approach to religious issues, drawing  a line that separaties superstitions"Khorafeh" from what he considers the truth of Islam .According to him, Immame Zaman(mahdi) is a myth and (Emam va emam zadeh parasti) is a blasphemy .

I do not know where he lives ...but I have heard about him ...

Confirms my experience

... that most religious people know so little about their religion, and it is not limited to Muslims only, it's just that Muslims seem to be the most controversial nowadays.

In fact I believe that most so called Muslims, are Muslims out of laziness, meaning that they have not arrived at their belief through research or closer examination of their religious principles, but out of convenience and the mere fact that they are born into "Muslim" families. Again, this applies to other religions as well, but in Islam (from Islam's perpective) you don't really have a say your parents and the society choose for you.

This Ayatollah reminds me of Ali Dashti. More power to him! Thanks for sharing.
