Ari Siletz

All I see is some Iranians peacefully organizing.

by Ari Siletz on

Why aren't we inspired to the same level of dedication to unity without a religion to motivate us? Not a rhetorircal question.

relatively accurate history.

(btw, Shoghi Effendi was studying at Oxford when, at the age of 24, he was appointed the leader of the Baha'i community in Abdul Baha's will.)

divaneh's skepticism

by stavackoli on

just a word about why IRI would show women without hijab.  It's because they are so delirius that they think people will look at these films and decide Baha'is are "religionless" because their women do not wear hejab while in public.  They do not realize that even their own women are tired of wrapping themselves in eggplant attire, and no one in their right mind would question a woman's choice of clothing.

As for religion being poison, religious beliefs that are past their time are poison for sure.  Baha'u'llah and his son, Abdul-Baha have said as much and, perhaps for the first time in the history of religion, they also have said (and I paraphrase) if a religion becomes the cause of strife it's absence is better.  I am a Baha'i and obviously biased, but it's only logical that if one follows religious edicts that have been mis-interpreted by those who do not have a right to interpret them (like the priests and the mullahs for example), then those religious edicts will lead to disaster, hence the wars and bloodshed in the past. This, we can not blame on religion, we need instead to blame it on the human intervention in religion.

RostamZ

I don't get it

by RostamZ on

Why is it IRI TV advertises for Bahais? I thought they were against them.

Rastgoo

First modern movement in Iran

by Rastgoo on

The Bahai faith was the first modern movement in Iran to bring about many of the ideas that were later promulgated in the Iranian Constitution.  Of course many of their ideas were scrapped as well.  But the crux of thier arguments is very progressive and appealing.  I would love to see the Bahai faith replace Islam someday.  That is assuming that Islam does not reform itself anytime soon.

amigo19

It has been over 160 years

by amigo19 on

It has been over 160 years of slander, harassment, false accusations tyrany and persecution.

Baha'is are not permitted to answer these false accusations in the media nor are  they allowed to answer these false acccusations to the people inside Iran, and if they do so, they are arrested and will be put in jail and even worse for the people who change their religion inside Iran.

Baha'i sites are filtered inside Iran, so the only source of information remains IRI and their false accusations.

350,000 Baha'is in Iran are all considered as spies. Spies who give money instead of receiving money. Does it make sense?

Why do they destroy our cemeteries?

Why don't they allow Baha'i youth attend high education at the universities?

Why do they arrest and harass baha'is who are involved in Baha'i administration?

Why don't they allow us to to have our own universities?

Imagine, Baha'is are even considered untouchable in small villages,

What a shame, that religion instead of promoting love, peace  brotherhood, and harmony has turned into the cause of hatred.

The good thing is that most people in our Beloved country have become now aware of the falsehood and ill intention of these mullas and especially in recent years, the small group of Hujjatiieh who is running the country whose main purpose is to uproot the Baha'i community in Iran.

If only they would mention the content of these books

by faryarm on

If only they would mention the content of these books..
The objective viewer asking why are people so attracted to these informal courses.
Why do so many families actually start them on their own accord .
Why do they want their children to learn what is taught?

What is the result and what is the transformative effect on human behavior .
good or Bad?

Why is the Islamic Republic so afraid, as to not let the Baha'is respond to such negative propaganda.

WHY?

divaneh

This is strange

by divaneh on

It does not seem like something that IRI would broadcast with all those women with no hijab.

Marathon-Man

Religion is the opium of the mass ...

by Marathon-Man on

فتنه‌ها در سر دین و وطن است   این دو لفظ است که اصل فتن است.     (ایرج میرزا)

Ruhi

I wonder why ?

by Ruhi on

I wonder why they are afraid to allow Baha'is to express  their point of view and tell their side of story.

I believe, Religion is like a medicine that cures the spiritual diseases and it ofcourse has its an expiry date, and once it is expired, it turns into poison, Judge for yourself!

The more they attack a divine faith, the stronger it becomes.
