>>>JadidOnline

by MOOSIRvaPIAZ on Sat Mar 06, 2010 08:22 AM PSTwe need more of these instead of 10s of thousands of mosques that are built in iran.
I am Glad for the Iranians
by Maryam Hojjat on Sat Mar 06, 2010 04:18 AM PSTwho love to read have access to the such a library.
Payandeh IRAN & True IRANIANs
It looks very nice:
by پیام on Sat Mar 06, 2010 01:18 AM PSTTo bad of all the Arabic references though, more Iranian history mixed with the building would have been nicer:
Behold Holden, thanks 4 proving to me how shallow &ignorant U R!
by obama on Fri Mar 05, 2010 05:48 PM PSTI am not going to stoop down to your level! You really are not worth the time! KHODA YEH MAGHZI BE TO BEDEH, YE POOLIHAM BEH KASAAYEH DIGEH (since i don't need it).

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri Mar 05, 2010 05:18 PM PSTYou are really out of line and quite ignorant. If you think I make propaganda for IRI then you have not read my posts. You are not worth another post by me. So that is it you I am not wasting another second on you and your hatred for Iran.Good bye; good riddance.
No wonder you have changed your name. Your kind are an embarrassment to both Iranians in Iran and the ex-patriot community.
Vice President of Khorasan & Barack Hussein
by Holden Caulfield on Fri Mar 05, 2010 04:03 PM PSTNext time you go to your Iranian bookstore ask him if he can afford paying for his rent by selling books alone. Your fellow Iranians go to a bookstore mostly for music CD's, and huka(the glass pipe)!!
I don't mind your Persian pride. Please stop your Persian propaganda nonsense.
Why are some of you so narrow minded?
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Fri Mar 05, 2010 03:53 PM PSTSome of you are really too much. A team of Iranian engineers and architects probably worked hard to design this. It took a lot of labor to build it. Everything doesn't have to be political. I'm glad there is a new library. It looks very nice. I hope students and scholars are able to make use of it. Iran needs them more than it needs us, a bunch of disgruntled ex-patriated Iranians.
Marxist and Holden, you are ignorant!
by obama on Fri Mar 05, 2010 05:37 PM PSTNot worthy of saying anymore if you lack so much intellect! & common sense! Always equating everything w/IRI! how pathetic!
I am very proud of our people showing to the world regardless who is in charge, we still value knowledge, beauty and architecture! it would attract more people and better books! Good for them and us!
BTW Did you notice that there is only one column in the entire open space? This is another proof hoW great our structural engineers are! Of course, great architecture as well. It takes two! wELL, actually more, since those construction engineers and workers are part of the team as well! Great work of art and engineering! DAMESHOON GARM!
Iran is not IRI
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri Mar 05, 2010 07:50 AM PSTIran has a rich culture and many books. Our books are valuable and worthy of respect. Just because Mullahs don't respect our culture does not mean we should follow them. In recent times I have bought many Iranian books some directly from Iran. Others from US sources. I am glad that they are making new libraries and cultural bases. Maybe once in a while something good happens in Iran. We should be glad.
In fact our best way to retain and honor our nation is by honoring our books. Let us not minimize our own people by making fun of our rich culture. The West is doing a fine job of that already. The last thing we should do is to minimize our achievement.
PS: I oppose banning people for opinions. No post here requires a ban.
Thinking for long run
by Mahvash Shahegh on Fri Mar 05, 2010 07:25 AM PSTAs a librarian by profession, I am very proud of this library. We should think about the topics in a long run. The governments change all the times but books and libraries stay if not for ever, but much longer time.
As Hafez said:
چنان نماند و چنین نیز هم نخواهد ماند
MrX1 and Holden Caufield
by darius on Fri Mar 05, 2010 07:11 AM PSTI assume you both think that you are making a hot and funny comment
which in fact it is not. I took it as an insult to all Iranian.
What educated and knowledge seeking Iranian has to do with Khamenie and The leadership.
If I were JJ , I would have banned you from this site.
This is not funny and you two should be ashamed of yourself.
what's a library for?
by MRX1 on Fri Mar 05, 2010 06:40 AM PSTAs I underestand the only book worth reading is Quoran and you don't need whole building for one book.
Books on how to go to "mostaraah"; left foot, first!!
by Holden Caulfield on Fri Mar 05, 2010 06:14 AM PSTBooks don't need so much a library as much they need readers. Libraries don't need so much artistic architecture as much they need read-worthy books.
