Ahmadinejad was in favor of shutting universities

Mohsen Mirdamadi recalls discussions with Ahmadinejad in 1979

Just before he returned to prison a couple of weeks ago, Dr. Mohsen Mirdamadi, General Secretary of the reformist Participation Front Party, reveals the role of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the "cultural revolution" of the early 1980's which led to the closure of universities all over Iran. He says against Khomeini's wishes and orders, Elm-o-San'at University's Islamic Association first closed down Tarbiat Moallem University, then Elm-o-San'at, and then Tehran University. The revelation is significant considering recent moves by the Ahmadinejad cabinet to sack dissident academics and suppressing student protests.

Complete bullshit man! So this guy says that Khomeini and other big names in the revolution couldn't handle AN and bunch of other students. AN is an extremist ass and we all agree on that but that doesn't mean everyone can get away with their wrongdoings by putting the blame on him!

I know how Soroush asskissers like to make a saint out of him and this seems to be another attempt in blaming someone else but Soroush (and alike) for enghelab farhanngi and tatilie daneshgahha. Just see this and decide whether or not the claims made by Mirdamadi are correct:
