Dear Fozol Bashi

by darius on

Just curious if you could mention the name of educational institution that your grandma got her education from?

Fouzul Bashi

my grandmother

by Fouzul Bashi on

May god bless her, she told us how when Reza Shah forbode hedjab, she felt so naked walking in the street.  She cried so many years later that Reza Khan's thugs would grab women and violently pull the scarf off their heads and how humiliated and violated she felt.  She was an educated woman, a beacon of light in my life who taught me to respect women. Now was this violence any different from the humiliating forced Hedjab some years later?
