To Benyamin
by DariusMazdak on Wed Jan 06, 2010 04:45 PM PSTIt's difficult for me to say which one is the most powerful. I find the picture showing the Shah, Bakhtiar and his Cabinet at 03:40 extremely sad. You can almost feel the Shah's resignation on it...and Bakhtiar's uncertainties and discomfort.
The pictures showing the war and the latest events in Iran speak for themselves too.
WOW!
by Michael Mahyar Hojjatie on Wed Jan 06, 2010 03:43 PM PSTI'll be sharing this with others, for sure! Great job! PAYANDE IRAN!
Thank you
by DariusMazdak on Wed Jan 06, 2010 08:19 AM PSTThank you all for your comments. I’m glad that some of you liked it. Thanks again to Jahanshah who posted it on Iranian.com. The video had some 4000 views on YouTube yesterday and today. I tried to make it as factual as possible and had a really hard time uploading it from Iran.
I wish you all a happy and prosperous 2010. May this New Year bring freedom to Iran.
Best,

Superb
by Darius Kadivar on Tue Jan 05, 2010 01:24 AM PSTWhat a wonderful photoessay. Absolutely Breathtaking.
What is amazing about your choice of photos and their chronology is how truthful they become in their depiction of an era and the challenges of a nation.
The hopes, the challenges, the dissappointments and the actors small or big in this human odyssey known as history is what shapes a nation.
Thank you for the superb work and subtle choices of the photos that each speak for themselves and to the hearts and minds.
Warm Regards,
DK

which one was The most powerful picture of all?
by Benyamin on Mon Jan 04, 2010 06:32 PM PSTIn my humble opimion the most powerful pictures are Mosadegh and Foroogh e farokhzad.
But there were some powerful picures that have captured very simple moments of simple people and children but some powerful pictures were also taken from the war and the recent demonstraions.
god bless Iran our motherland
It's amazing how women were
by benross on Mon Jan 04, 2010 06:30 PM PSTIt's amazing how women were always at the centre of our brief history, even when they are not in the picture - and specially because of that.
And now more than ever.
Hmmm...Forough
by Ali P. on Mon Jan 04, 2010 05:24 PM PSTShould have recognized her, but her picture, displayed right after the pictures of the major players at the 1953 coup, when she was mostly unknown I believe, seemed out of context and threw me off.
Thanx JJ .
Nice work and music DariusM
by oktaby on Mon Jan 04, 2010 05:21 PM PSTHard to believe how long we as a people have struggled for freedom and the flawed beauty and progress we replaced with abject ugliness of Erteja' and regression.
