I love these guys!

by Ari Siletz on

They draw you right in. Comedy shows are the hardest and need a few runs to really settle in, so I think this show will get better and better.

bandeh, good point about better editing. That's one of the things they'll get the hang of pretty quickly.

bandeh

Repeat and Repeat and Repeat

by bandeh on

One thing that is wrong with Iranian comedy in general that they keep repeating the same thing so many times that they bore you to death....

The show is just OK, but please make your point and move on, it becomes very agitating to watch

Bano Atefeh

Jonny Dollar

Loved the Shirazi accent!

by Jonny Dollar on

Reminded me of my cousin. Long long time ago, when in the army, i was assigned to go to shiraz for specialty training. My mom warned: MOVAZEBEH OON DOKHTARAYEH SIAHEH SHIRAZI BAASH KEH YEVAGHTI BAA OON ZABOONEH SHIRINESHOON KHARET NAKONAN KEH BAHASHOON EZDEVAJ KONI!

THANKS MOM FOR THE WARNING!

God is in your dell. Now, go ahead and find it! Good luck!

On the money

by comrade on

It was Ayatollah Motahhari who declared that women have equal rights, but not similar to those of men.

They have chosen to be substantive. It's good, very good.

Never increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.

Souri

Boring

by Souri on

I find them boring. This one was not any better than the two last ones. Only the last minute, about the insulting the family members, was just so so.....but the rest of it? I wasn't impressed.

The good behavior of the people, warms our heart and make us thankful.....  And the bad ones, just make us to recognize and appreciate the good ones!

statira

What can I say?

by statira on

These two guys are hilarously funny. It seems that intellectual and average Iranian men are not that much different.

Hoshang Targol

At last, Iranian Beavis and Butthead

by Hoshang Targol on

the humor was too dark, these guys are so gay. Last one was much better.

No Fear

Excellent program ...

by No Fear on

These programs are a good indication of our youth thought patterns who are living in Iran.  I am glad to see they are touching up on issues that although seems political at first, but are mostly cultural characteristic of all Iranians.

On a second note;

-For the first time in IR history, the first woman minister was appointed during the administration of Dr. Ahmadinejad.

-Crack down on indecent dress code is at an all time low during Ahmadinejad administration. The " monkerat " bill has been stalled by Ahmadinejad for more than 5 years now , therefore, there wasn't any clear laws how to deal with this issue.

-Ahmadinejad has said several times that the way our women dress is not a criteria of his government.

-Ahmadinejad has defended women's rights to enter football matches.

-We are witnessing for the first time that women are participating in live musical performances in Iran. Even their voices are being heard in these shows. This is unprecedented.

-How about our president trusted aid, Mashaie, who enjoys watching turkish dancers perform in front of him?

-Or our president kissing the hand of his former teacher in front of public television? ( You are not allowed to touch their hand, let alone kiss it ).

Would any of the above be considered a real and tangible reform act to you?

Fesenjoon

Bavafa

You guys rock.

by Bavafa on

A great program and a very important subject. I hope your effort results in a closer look for all of us in the mirror and examine ourselves with a more critical and honest look.

Keep it up.

On Saadi

by masoudA on

I liked the humor - howevre I must note something on the reference to Saadi.

For centuries, Islamists have been inserting made-up poems into Saadis work.   Take Golestan's very first Poem which Saadi recited about God.....I am sure you have all heared....Menat Khodaye Az o va jal.......it is a poem of over 20 beyts about God - and God alone.   But in recent years I have come across versions of the Poem which include 2-3 additional beyts in the middle of the poem praising Mohammad and Ali, etc!!!  Same is true about some of our other poets like Ferdosi, Hafez, Iraj Mirza......It is all an attempt to undermine our culture.

PS - There are also many references to bacheh baazi and homosexuality which have been added to Saadi and Iraj poems..

KingReza

I hope you guys do more

by KingReza on

I hope you guys do more pieces on women. This is an important topic and I believe there are endless numbers of issues that should be addressed. If there was one thing I would change about our culture it would be our perspective on women. It's fundamentally difficult for a man to accept that a woman wants to aspire to the same level of success and happiness. This fundamental difficulty goes beyond culture and is embedded in our nature.
This can change. Within the right environment and culture men can learn to override what's been inscribed in their brain for centuries. They can learn that women like them want to experience life, make mistakes and be a difference. They can learn that women want to decide for themselves and lay their own path toward success and happiness.
Successful, and happy women lead to successful and happy mothers. In a society that values the role of the mother so much, it's mind boggling how little attention is given to their success and happiness. They are given the responsibility of raising the future generations yet their life is defined to a limited role. This is an important topic and it should be brought up for discussion more and more.
