by G. Rahmanian on Sun Dec 26, 2010 11:22 PM PSTI'll send a letter to Ahmadinejad and ask him for a copy of the list of recipients of the handouts. After I receive the copy, I'll post it on IC. Let's hope Ahmafinejad will respond quickly!

by fussygorilla on Sun Dec 26, 2010 11:10 PM PSTEvidence for your claims? Talk is cheap.
HT:
by G. Rahmanian on Sun Dec 26, 2010 07:56 PM PSTNice poem. Thanks. I have written two poems about Iran under the rule of IR and Ahmadinejad. One is in the style of Pariayeh Shamloo! I'll send them in one of these days!
GR: they're going to choke on this one!
by Hoshang Targol on Sun Dec 26, 2010 06:11 PM PSTthis time they're dealing with more than they could chew.
The number one priority for us outside of Iran is to assist those in Iran that are publicly exposing this program: people like Fariborz Raiess Dana. They had mentioned before that whoever "disturbes" this program should be executed. Today Tehran's DA charged Prof. Raiess Dana with that exact charge: let all us focus on getting him out of jail.
On a lighter here's a poem by Esmaiel Khoye :

P.S. If I'm not mistaken there's a Red Wine "Ahmadi-Frankenstien" photo shop in the video, 0:18.
HT:
by G. Rahmanian on Sun Dec 26, 2010 05:44 PM PSTThey know all these things. They have known everything for the past three decades. These guys are for rent and would say or do anything for money. If they were in Tehran during the uprisings of last year, they would have gladly attacked and lilled the peaceful demonstrators for the 300,000 tomans a day handouts from Ahmadinejad's camp.
By any and all standards this is the most fascistic economic
by Hoshang Targol on Sun Dec 26, 2010 05:33 PM PSTprogram ever "implemented" in Iranian history.
Please see below for a follow up to Fariborz Raiess Dana's case. An Economics professor, he spoke against this economic "program" with reporters and was arrested a few hours after his interview, just for expressing his opinion.
And let's get him out of jail, alive, please.

@fussygorilla: "You've got it all upside down"
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sun Dec 26, 2010 05:21 PM PSTNot upside down yet my bright spark, as thus far been able to avoid spending time at Evin jail house as guest of your islamist posterboy!
Now just because you are only doing your job here defending this yet another pathetic attempt by your islamist paymasters to appear "on the side of the poor", whilst indeed all they are doing is filling their swiss and london bank accounts with stolen oil money for the time they have to leave Iran in a rush is not an excuse for writing such an stupid response!
But hey if you ever left the safety of your keyboard and residence in the Kafir west and travelled back to your islamist paradise, tell the fairy story you just told me to these "Iranian people who live in Iran"! and good luck and make sure you have an squad of bassijis with you for protection!
Now try it again" fussy", this time with one of your many other user ID's :)

Thievery A La IR!
by G. Rahmanian on Sun Dec 26, 2010 04:10 PM PSTSince day one of the victory of the revolution all anyone had to do was grow a beard and pretend to be a "devout" Muslim in order to start reaping profits from multitudes of projects and positions available. The Ayatollahs who took over the country could not possibly manage the affairs of Iran's economy, so they would welcome anyone who could "prove" his devotion to the Islam Republic. The criteria were not so complicated: A beard and a rosary would have sufficed. That tradition still continues to this day. If Ahmadinejad wants to fight corruption, he should start by checking into the bank accounts of his own relatives, friends and allies. Only the misinformed and misguided would believe Ahmadinejad means well when as president he has given every large and midsize project to the Revolutionary and Basij Corps members close to him. And of course, no one can ever prosecute these crooks because it is not in the best interests of the IR to do so. In other words, they are mostly corrupt at the top, to begin with. Thievery a la IR has reached such an ugly scale that Khamenei himself has to intervene and settle disputes among individuals involved. If IR followed the example of its role model, China, in dealing with corruption as well, not many of high- or low-ranking IR officials would escape jail terms or firing squads.

Gilani my boy,
by fussygorilla on Sun Dec 26, 2010 10:26 AM PSTYou've got it all upside down. Either out of ignorance or spite. This entire program is to help bring up the standard of living for the poor and not very poor. The middle classes in every society pay more just look at the tax system in U.S. The wealthy don't pay anything because of all the loopholes and courrption and the poor don't pay since they are poor so the heavy burden is on the Middle classes. But, you just have to admit it, it is an economic revolution based on justice. Regardless of what the enemies claim, with their plays on words that begin with "K", it is going to work for the Iranian PEOPLE who live in Iran. So, get over it!
GOOD, BAD, AND UGLY
by Demo on Sun Dec 26, 2010 09:06 AM PSTAs long as our people are classified into different ranks by Khamenie as Khavas, Khodees, Khebreh, Khar-on, Khordeh, Khofteh, and Kh-etc. any hope of social, & economical changes will be only & only in their Khee-alls!!! These subsidies cut will push them into more of Khara-bott & more of subsistence lives with the Social Revulsion @ the end instead of the Econmic Revolution.
This explains it
by mrlayl on Sun Dec 26, 2010 07:25 AM PSTA.N's gamble is in execution of the plan. tabriz_balasi correctly identified the theory of this redistribution plan, however, it remains to be seen how the corruption network reacts to it.
In the long term, the only way a government can improve the lives of the downtrodden is through providing :
Education, Infrastructure, and economic freedom that will allow free but transparent movement of capital.
Any economists in the crowd to add their 2 cents?
Iranian poor and needy are the ones who will suffer
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sun Dec 26, 2010 06:32 AM PSTEven more as the result of this so called "Economic Revolution" of Ahmadinezhad and co. The same poor and needy who were the foot soldiers of 1979 revolution and Iran Iraq war. As sad as I feel for my compatriots suffering added economic problems caused by the fascist Islamist regime, I feel happy as I see the islamist regime is making more progress at digging it's very own grave.

Tabriz_balasi:
by G. Rahmanian on Sun Dec 26, 2010 05:38 AM PSTI agree with you. Ahmadinejad must be admitted to a madhouse! But for different reasons.
it doesn't matter
by tabriz_balasi on Sun Dec 26, 2010 05:27 AM PSTit doesn't matter how i feel about IR; i am not going to wish that the economic policies of the government fail; i hope the government is successful in "hadafmad kardaane rayaanehaa". the idea is simple; poor families need more economic help than more wealthy people; of course middle class is going to feel the pinch because there are more poor people in iran; but i think it is a sensible policy; i feel that Ahamdinejad is doing this to serve the part of population that support him, namely poor people; he is punishing the rich people and upper-middle class; exactly those people that have the most problem with him; i understand that his intentions are messed up (because he need to be in a mental institution); but i think it is something that had to be done; because poor people need it; it is good for them; and generaly good for the economy; and i love poor people no matter who they support; they are poor how can you blame them; if you don't take shower one day; how would you feel? these guys wear ripped-out socks, torn shoes made from some kind of shitty plastic; eat bread for the most part; and have to listen to middle-class who have the conforts of life (relatively speaking; because they are suffering too and jobless by the way) whine about freedom all day; i whine about freedom too and not saying we shouldn't; but i'm looking at it from the prespective of a person that is looking down to his only pair of sanddles and is hungry;
Dreaming again?
by fussygorilla on Sun Dec 26, 2010 02:59 AM PSTKeep on dreaming! Where in the world is gasoline .10 cents/gallon? Subsidies policy was stupid and benefited only the rich fat guys who never supported the government anyway. Now, the price is $1.50/gallon which the price it costs the government. You overlook(intentionally due to your bias) that the common people recieve monthy steipends to help them with the rising price. The rich families and fat cats were the ones benefiting from the old subsidies system driving Mercedeses and BMWs and other gas guzzler cars who got the gas at subsidized prices not the common people.
In your personal hostility towards Iran and its policies you have lost any sense of social justice and balance appraently blinded and brainwashed by the Western mass media which is corporate-zionist-neocon controlled. If you are of Iranian descent, shame on you.
Riots!
by G. Rahmanian on Sun Dec 26, 2010 01:54 AM PSTGive people two to three months and riots will most probably start. With sanctions at work IR will find it even more difficult to manage the economy.
We may see economic rioting....
by Khar on Sat Dec 25, 2010 11:41 PM PSTSomething we’ve never had in Iran's modern History. Sanctions, Inflation, Unemployment, End of subsidies, very dangerous and volatile mix for the Satanic Islamic Republic.
