Didn't Ahmadinejad blamed

by norooz on

Didn't Ahmadinejad blamed capitalism and greed for the recession of the world economy just a few months ago in his United Nations speech?  These senators are finally catching up. It took this senator fifteen minutes to say what Ahmadinejad said in two words.

What really baffles me is

by Bavafa on

What really baffles me is that so often you see people who stand to benefit from programs such as healthcare, social security benefit, or a more balanced work pay are first on the street to shout against these initiatives.

During the healthcare debate, all those who were shouting against it were prime candid to benefit from it.

What gives?!?!?!

Is that pure dumbness on their part? Or Joe the plumber think he is going to be Bill Gate in six months time and he will not want to pay for his employees healthcare in such event?

This Is Nothing New!

by G. Rahmanian on

Obama OWES his election to Wall Street! After the fall of Lehman Brothers, he was seen as the "best" choice there was for stopping Main Street Americans from "tearing down the Wall!" 120 years ago, in 1890, an intelligent woman by the name of Mary Ellen Lease said, "Wall Street owns the country. It is no longer a government of the people, by the people and for the people, but a government of Wall Street, by Wall Street and for Wall Street." Not much seems to have changed since then. 120 years later, an intelligent man made a similar assertion with a slight difference in phrseology. In an article written a few months ago, the economics Nobel laureate Mr. Paul Krugman asked: "But did all the senior members of the [President Obama's] economics team have to be proteges of Robert Rubin, the apostle of financial deregulation?" Obama's election was a bad joke played on the American Main Street. It is amusing to hear the Fed Reserve Secretary Ben S. Bernanke say they didn't know how bad the economic disaster that hit America was. One wonders how they decided on the figure $787 billion, if not to save Wall Street only.

Tax Reasons!

by G. Rahmanian on

She MAY have quit America for tax reasons. Last year alone, 743 Americans renounced their American citizenship only for tax reasons. Lisa Marie sold L. A. mansion "AFTER quitting America for England!" The time frame is important, here. Let's find out if she had already quit her citizenship, as well. For the wealthy Brits, Spain seems to be the tax haven.

Obama turned out to be a wimp since the beginning

by David ET on

Mr. Obama: "Tear down this WALL" !

This is what I wrote March 2009 shortly after his presidency and many told me , give him time and I said , there is no time and what is wrong is wrong, now or in future. Now I am proven right :

Excerpt

Mr. President stop feeding the TOP of the pyramid hoping that the thieves will pass it on to THE PEOPLE. They did not last time and they won’t this time either. The writing is already on the "wall". See where the billions that we already have allocated have gone?! Where are the new jobs? Where are the new loans? The billions that the people of this nation and the world lost in the past few years did not mysteriously end up in the thin air. They ended up in the accounts , villas, private jets and yachts of the ones who created this DISASTER.

Those of us on the main street saw the writings on "the wall" much before any of the so called financial gurus and policy makers even started whispering it, let alone confessing to it in the public.

US is owned by corporations with global identity

by kazem0574 on

They may seem very short-sighted to slowly pull the rug under themselves in this fashion allowing the few to cut Americas throat.

BUT, Globalisation has meant that not many of these huge corporations any longer see themselves as American, its all becoming very grey. In effect when they get hold they don't really care about any nation.

They also buy politicians left, right and centre in the countries that they oporate.

If the US gov tries to do anything everyone backed by these firms start shouting its socialism.

Middle class

A country without middle class is like a tall building with a very week foundation, soon it will collapse.

Great speech, sad story for this nation

What do you get when you have corrupt politicians + people disconnected from politics and a media that is owned by the few and rich = A country that is heading down the toilet

Consider the Dempgraphics

by ayatoilet1 on

Consider the Demographics: 50% of US billionaires are Jewish; 2% of Americans are Jewish, and the control 25% of US net assets; Bernie Sanders is attacking his own Jewish Clan ...that is very strange.

He attacks Wall Street, but who are the leaders on Wall Street ...are they Muslim??

This argument could get very ugly... If the economy collapses as it might, as people probe this issue it could turn into nasty racism. My reccomendation is that somehow this discussion get brushed under the carpet quickly, so it doesnot turn ugly.

As if Mr. President cares! This is a president whose economics team comes from the same Wall Street Sen. Sanders is complaining about. I enjoyed the accent, though!
