Butting heads with Ahmadinejad

NIAC: According to Bahman Baktiari, Director of the Middle East Center at the University of Utah, President Ahmadinejad is facing an unprecedented level of confrontation with the Majlis--Iran’s Parliament--on key topics including economic and foreign policy. Baktiari spoke on Tuesday at a Woodrow Wilson Center event entitled, “Ahmadinejad’s Confrontation with the Iranian Parliament.” He was introduced to an audience of scholars, journalists, and academics by Haleh Esfandari, Director of the Middle East Program at the Woodrow Wilson Center. “As of November 2010, senior parliamentarians with unquestioned conservative credentials are making statements about Ahmadinejad that are unprecedented in Iranian history, but also unprecedented in the press coverage that it gets,” said Baktiari. The frustration of these conservative parliamentarians, he said, stem from their continued frustration with Ahmadinejad’s decision-making and his refusal to recognize Parliament’s authority on certain matters >>>

Rooszbeh as usual.

Why bother with elections when they are all a farce. Why bother to go through the motions? Did anyone believe the Soviets? The only people taking this seriously are a handful of wishful tinkers or plain out IRI insiders.

Be honest and just admit it is a military dictatorship. Honest dictators beat dishonest ones. At least the Mongols and Arabs were honest about their brutality. IRI insults our intelligence. Next they want to sell ur a bridge in Brooklyn.

BS is BS and no amount of lipstick will make this pig look good. Give it up and be honest! Not even Mollahs in Qum are taking this serious.

The one and only Payambaer-h Pooshideh,

Back in the real world of Iran, which some of us have not visited for years, even an "stupid amaleh", or the factory worker who has not been paid for months, can not feed his family, put a roof over their heads, unable organise a union in his work place let alone organise a strike for fear of jail, torture and death, can tell you this.

no amount of "clever humour" from the  clever clogs with "cool avatars" on Iranian.com can deny this fact!

Shame and disgrace on anyone who calls himself an Iranian, yet try to justify this fascist regime in any form or shape....

It might be because I was a bit occupied and used a protractor. Is that cheating?

The Chimps' Parliment

Please do not smash your monitor noticing the followings among many of yours:

3 big flags on the right of the clown & 3 of the same on his right;

A big antique chair of the clown;

The so called reporters’ discussed/permitted questions;

Khamenie’s voice/style imitating of the clown;

The preposterous defense of the most criminal/corrupt ever element of the regime. i.e. Hashemi Rafasanjani.

Now if you could stand watching the whole trash there will be nothing to help you to stop your vomiting after reading Niloufar’s comments below!!!!

Geometry 101

by comrade on

If you wanna do something as your Sunday project, take a paper world map and a compass for drawing a circle. Place the point of the compass on Tehran and start drawing numerous circles, while expanding the diameter, and stop as soon as the circle has reached the closest form of government to that of Tehran. Now, look closely: can you read the tiny word "Israel" there?

OK, OK. I know, I just said it's a Sunday project, not an airtight political theory. I also said closest, and not equal. And I said government, not regime. And nobody's forgetting the election, the murders, the rapes, the political prisoners, and most importantly the non-secular "regime". OK?

In my opinion, it's almost impossible to find another country in the region where the Speaker of the House can be quoted as saying so independently from the government.

Now, I might as well take the compass and shove it up my nostrils, just to make the project even more fun for some of us!

Never increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.

that is all this is.  I don't believe that there is a real debate taking place in Iran.  it is all a show.  even if it is a real debate, if they don't like the results of this debate, they'll just change the outcome.  IR is bankrupts; and they brought this on to themselves.  Just like Israel is going to bring about its own demise soon!!! technology will not save Israel, and EmamZaman will not save IR.  they will both die soon.

Benyamin

he said " any politician could have strength and weakness"

I wonder if that opinion could be extended to Ali Khamenie?

Has anyone ever dared to question Ali Khameneii? I mean ever?

I bet the next "selected" president of Iran is one of Larijanis brothers.
