The role of Iranian army at this stage is simply to dissuade any potential enemies from attacking Iran. Iran has not attacked any country in the past 250 years unlike some other countries in the region! None of Iran's neighbouring countries expresses any major concerns about Iran's military capabilites and does not feel threatened! It is only Israel despite not having any common border with Iran!

Doing his job

Whether he is bluffing or telling the truth, he is doing his job which it to defend the country. These arsenal however are all for conventional war. Do they really think that they stand a chance against US in a conventional war? So why spend all this money on a failed strategy? I think this money should be spent on measures that can prevent such a war and world public opinion is the first one to come to mind.
