No I am simply claiming that this is not an objective report. One cannot judge on whether the testimonies are for real or are fake added to the fact that this is an extremely patronizing report that reminds me similar ones made in the 1950's which attempted to protect society against what it considered as dangerous or morally depriving like for example Homosexuality or drugs throug educational reports :

Drugs explained to youngsters by a boring Old gent rather than a youngster of the same age or generation who could convey the problem in their own words:

Mind You the Soviets did the same in regard to similar themes or by reducing democracy to capitalism or mafia organizations.

The trouble with such reports is that they reflect the incapacity of society to question itself in addition to identifying the problem. In this case the IRI sees the bloggers as dangerous but does not identify the roots behind the behavior: lack of social and sexual freedom in society that encourages to be attracted by what is forbidden. This is true in any society democratic or not, but the difference is that the more a society is conservative the more it sees
unconvetional behaviours as a threat to society at large as if it were some kind of uncontrollable virus ...

In such circumstances then even a political activist can be accused of being a sexual pervert in order to justify their imprisonement rather than try and explain what were the ideas which the government found dangerous. That is also because the government knows that their own arguments for their arrest would be unconvincing.

In otherwords IRI TV and Society's standards are as obsolete as America during the Joseph McCarthy Years or Europe under Colonial Rule ( seeing itself as the center of the world). Its as if we lived  back in the 1950's added to the fact that it is also a dictatorship.

The confessions you are hearing are as result of many tortures and beating as well as sleep deprivations.

AVIZOON AND XPERSIA forums (NOT WEBSITES) were never anti-religions and anti-governments. In fact, there were set rules for that so whom ever started discussions of the above subjects, would be warned and if continued, be banned from the forums. Also, if anyone posted any pictures/ films etc., of child would have been banned immediately. The site did not allow underage of 18 to be a member in there.

Amazing documentary! Must see

Of all places, Iran has to be the one discovering the international force behind the proliferation of anti-religious groups. I am not religious myself as such but there is definitely a vicious attempt by certain secret and yet powerful special interest groups to attack and undermine religious beliefs. Their intention is not to replace falsehood with science but to cause instability and mental stress in the society and promote immorality which leads to police states and the growing of governments and reducing civil rights. Very interesting documentary!

Are you implying that such sites don't exist or????? What is the base for your assertion that the confession is fake. Help me understand.

Now, I do understand that the regime has no qualms about using "enhanced interrogation techniques" (I can help laughing at this term that has been invented by the US) any time any where but it seems to me you are contradicting the existence of such sites and hence people how run them.

"Confessions!"

We have seen so many of these "confessions" extracted from Iranian dissidents, scholars, authors, bloggers, and activists.  Many of those people went on to announce that the confessions were only made after months of solitary confinement and torture, and in return for their release from prison.

Though we could engage in a discussion about internet-based pornography and exploitation of women and children in the porn industry, I doubt this charade has very much to do with what these people are "confessing."  They are reading a script which was written for them by the likes of Shariatmadari and Saeed Emami before him, all to promote a specific agenda for a particularly targeted group.

Bloggers and internet professionals are the new targets of IRI's crackdown on dissent, and programs like this are meant to brainwash Iranian audiences and criminalize and vilify bloggers, so that when they are detained, tortured, and killed in prisons, people won't ask after them.

Seen it all before.  It's vile and horrible no matter how many times we see it.

I'm not even certain the confessors are real. Probably even VEVAK agents disguised as so called "subversive" and "pervert" bloggers ...
