TEHRAN, Iran (CNN) -- Iranian pro-government Basij militia members dispersed crowds of protesters in Tehran Thursday -- sometimes with force -- according to a journalist on the scene. The demonstration is taking place on the 10th anniversary of a student uprising that, at the time, posed the biggest threat to the Islamic regime since its inception in 1979. The protesters are using the anniversary to resume demonstrations against the outcome of the June 12 presidential election. An estimated 2,000 to 3,000 people crowded the streets and headed toward Tehran University, the site of the 1999 student uprising. Several protesters were hit on the arms and backs by the Basij, the journalist reported. The militia tried to persuade one man, whose face was bleeding, to get into an ambulance, but he refused >>>

Proud of Iranians?

are all the people in the world for their courage. I have heard this from my American coworkers & others these days. 

Mahmoudg & anonymous beedar sho, I agree with both of you and I think Iran can be free for real once we can remove this filty Arabic religion.

Islam has reached its end of usefulness

I am the first one to admit, as a descendent of Abouzar Ghaffari, that Islam has reached the end of its usefulness, not only in Iran,but the world at large.  The next step once The Islamic Regime is ousted is to cleanse Persia of this Arab ideology

پشت کودتا و سرکوب است!

روزنامه گاردین دیروز(4 شنبه) به نقل از یک "منبع بلندپایه سیاسی" در ایران گزارش داد که کنترل بسیج به مجتبی خامنه ای، پسر علی خامنه ای رهبر جمهوری اسلامی سپرده شده است. گاردین منبع خبری خود را یک سیاستمدار ارشد با پیوندهای قوی با دستگاه های امنیتی جمهوری اسلامی اعلام کرد. این منبع گفته است: "این بازی تمام نشده. تازه شروع شده است." وی گفت که مجتبی خامنه ای نقشی اساسی در سازمان دادن پیروزی محمود احمدی نژاد در انتخابات 22 خرداد بازی کرد و از طریق کنترل مستقیم بسیج، تظاهرات مخالفان - که با تلفات در میان معترضان همراه بود – را رهبری کرد.

مقام های ایرانی شمار کشته ها در تظاهرات مخالفان را 20 نفر اعلام کرده اند اما گاردین به نقل از یک پزشک تهرانی می نویسد که شمار واقعی تلفات خشونت ها بسیار بیش از این است و در هفته اول تظاهرات تنها در بیمارستانی که او کار می کرده 38 نفر جان باخته اند. بسیجی ها قتل تظاهرکنندگان را پنهان کرده و بر پزشکان فشار آورده اند که در این مورد با کسی صحبت نکنند.

سیاستمدار ایرانی که با گاردین صحبت کرده گفته است: "مجتبی فرمانده کودتا است. بسیجی ها تحت فرماندهی مجتبی هستند، اما نام او همواره در این ماجراها مخفی است. دولت هرگز نام او را ذکر نمی کند. همه از این موضوع عصبانی هستند. مرجعیت و روحانیون عصبانی هستند، محافظه کاران خیلی عصبانی هستند و به شدت از مجتبی انتقاد دارند. این وضعیت نمی تواند ادامه یابد چون این همه شخصیت در سطوح بالا با آن مخالفند."

پس از انتخابات ریاست جمهوری ایران که این کشور را درگیر بحرانی عمیق کرد، حدس و گمان های زیادی درباره نقش مجتبی خامنه ای در انتخابات منتشر شد.

اطلاعات زیادی درباره او که پسر دوم رهبر جمهوری اسلامی است وجود ندارد. خامنه ای رهبر ایران به دلیل تحولات اخیر مقدار زیادی از نفوذ خود را در میان مراجع از دست داده است.

همین منبع گفته است شکاف هایی در داخل سپاه پاسداران وجود دارد. علی جعفری فرمانده کل سپاه و علی فضلی فرمانده سپاه در استان تهران با قدرت گرفتن مجتبی خامنه ای مخالفند.

گاردین از قول همین منبع اضافه می کند: بیانیه های تندی که به نام سپاه صادر می شود و تظاهرکنندگان را به "برخورد قاطعانه" تهدید می کند، کار بخش های سیاسی و روابط عمومی سپاه است که تحت نفوذ احمدی نژاد قرار دارد و نمایانگر یک موضع واحد در سپاه نیست. درحالیکهاکثر تحلیلگران سپاه پاسداران را یک گروه یکدست که کاملا پشت سر رژیم است ارزیابی می کنند.

it is so very important for the reporting to go on. i have never seen such courage in face of an immense brutality in my life. not anywhere. all these people that are demonstrating are the epitome of courage. it makes me proud of being an iranian and it should make non-iranians prooud of their humanity and bravery...
