The United Nations [1] nuclear watchdog agency passed a resolution on Thursday rebuking Iran [2] for defying demands to curb its uranium enrichment and failing to quell mounting concerns about its suspected research into atomic bombs.

Iran’s envoy to the agency, Ali Asghar Soltanieh, said such resolutions were counterproductive.
