If MB is actually the next recruit for NIAC...

by Bavafa on

Then I am indeed very grateful and joyful of such selection. Maziar Bahri along with his family has shown that is willing to pay the price for its belief, proves to have a sound judgment as seen in this interview and to care deeply for Iran and Iranians.

We Iranian people need more of MB in order to achieve a free, [secular] democratic and independent Iran.

Thanks for posting it and I agree with Yolanda that it ought to be featured on the front page.

by Darius Kadivar on

The National Iranian American Council (NIAC) presents an exclusive interview with award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker, and human rights activist Maziar Bahari. His newest book Then They Came for Me chronicles the 118 days he spent in a six-by-twelve-feet prison cell in Tehran's notorious Evin prison. Maziar Bahari sat down with NIAC President Trita Parsi and journalist Sahar Namizikhah for an exclusive interview in Persian.

Bahari explains his relationship with his interrogator, and shares how he kept his hope alive and his hatred for his torturer at bay. Bahari also shares his views on dictatorships and their ideology and talks of the importance of democracy. In talking about his days in prison, he explains how Iranian Americans can help.
