US President Barack Obama has announced his intention to stand for a second term in office in 2012. Mr Obama's team released a video on his official website and sent an e-mail to supporters announcing his plans. The president has an online network of millions of Americans and his web campaign was widely seen as a key plank of his election success in 2008. The announcement was widely expected, and his campaign team are set to file election papers this week. Mr Obama does not actually appear in the video, posted on YouTube as well as the official campaign website. Instead supporters look back to the 2008 campaign and talk of their hopes for the 2012 bid.

@DK, you do know that Malkovich'es paternal grand parents are Croats. You Iranians always claim the best. So, couldn't resist. ;o)

This is an outrage!
by Esfand Aashena on Mon Apr 04, 2011 12:40 PM PDTDarius jaan the man has received a Nobel Peace Prize, he has reduced the number of troops in Iraq from 160,000 to 45,000 and shrinking, trying to end the war in Afghanistan, slapped Qaddafi senseless, taken steps against Iran's human rights violations to the degree that we now have a special UN Watchdog monitoring Iran 24/7 and, AND to top if all off he had turned the economy around to the tune of 8% compared to 10% when he took office and, AND he did it in two years only!
So if you're not going to vote for him given what you know now, this would be an outrage! OUTRAGE I tell you! just kidding, hehehe ;-)
Everything is sacred
Dunno Esfand Aashen jaan ... Will depend on who is running ...
by Darius Kadivar on Mon Apr 04, 2011 12:35 PM PDTIf he has Sarah Palin opposite him, I will definitively vote for Obama ... If it's McCain ... I may reconsider ... And that does not mean that I have forgotten or Forgiven his clumsy Bomb Bomb Iran slur ... But you know these days I am wondering which of the two: Obama or McCain would be more helpful to Iran's democratic movement.
Obama's attitude has only raised questions in me rather than given me answers ...
What is certain is that I will Vote for Sarkozy this time round. He deserves my vote even despite his U Turn on Bakhtiar ...
But Honestly 2012 is still far away so I may change sides again either way or worst Won't even Vote ;0)
Darius jaan you ARE going to vote for Obama again, right?
