A senior Revolutionary Guards Corps commander admitted that the "Iranian Cyber Army" looks to the Revolutionary Guards for direction.The group which has been identifying itself as the "Iranian Cyber Army" is a group of internet hackers that have been responsible for invading a series of internet websites including Radio Zamaneh.
Fars news agency reports that Ebrahim Jabbari, commander of the Ali Ebn-e Abi Taleb Guards in Qom, said on Thursday: "The Revolutionary Guards has been successful in establishing a cyber army and today the cyber army of the Revolutionary Guards is the second largest cyber army in the world."
Earlier, Commander Javani, head of the Guards Political Bureau had made implicit remarks about ties between the "Iranian Cyber Army" and the Revolutionary Guards Corps of Iran.
According to Islamic Republic laws, hacking into websites is a "cyber crime."
