Bisotun: Bas-relief Achaemenid (520 BC) carving, approximately 200 ft above ground level, commemorating Darius's rise to power. Above the carvings of Darius's prisoners is Ahura Mazda, the god in whose name the Achaemenid kings ruled. This winged god later becomes the Faravahar or symbol of Zoroastrianism.
