Stereotypes

by John (darvishjo) (not verified) on

Your travelogue is wonderful, but it is sad the way you toss out these stereotypes, just as so many other naive untraveled folks love to do. I have seen so many Iranian homes where the "library" consist entirely of expensively bound books of calligraphy, poetry and history that are obviously never read by anyone in the household. They're just out on the shelves for show! You apparently don't know very many Americans. If you did you wouldn't represent the typical library in an American home in this silly way.

I have great respect for your obvious talents in language, literature, music and art. I would expect more from such a person.
