Freddy Kesafat Sandwiches

by Kishmish (not verified) on

Great pics. I loved seeing the Farid Kasif sandwich place. But Farid Kasif is not a burger joint. It's just sandwiches. I never even saw a burger there. And the sandwiches are the best in all of Tehran

Still very much the gaze of the media

by Anonymouster (not verified) on

I appreciate the images, but to suggest that they are, in some way, beyond media representations of Iran is to forget the eagerness with which journalists descended on Iran during the so called "reform movement." There were plenty of stories, images, documentaries that came out saying, "Hey, look at Iran--its not just ayatollahs. They drink, smoke, have sex, wear sexy clothes, watch nudie pics, eat burgers and pizza, have satellite TV, love America." That media coverage is still perpetuated, despite the new obsession with Ahmadinead, the Qods Force, and nuclear weapons or lack thereof.
