This is a video with music by Sepehr, titled "Parthian Wedding Dance" which explores the Persian-Roman encounters during the Parthian and Sassanid Persian Dynasties that ruled in present day Iran.

Ruling from 247 BC to 228 AD in ancient Persia, the Parthians defeated Alexander of Macedonia's successors, the Seleucids, conquered most of the Middle East and southwest Asia and built Parthia into the Eastern superpower.

Recording I made in 1978 in Oakland, California

I found an old cassette tape from a recording I had made in Oakland, California in 1978. On it was a song I had written in high school in Iran about affairs of the heart titled “My Friend”. The lyrics are self-explanatory. My friend from those same high school days Borzoo who was going to school at U.C. Berkeley, heard it and said we should go record it in a proper studio and that he would also play back-up guitar and sing vocal harmony. I didn’t have a good guitar, so he suggested we go to a music store called “Tupper & Reed” on Shattuck Ave.

The first song I got my mom to sing in the recording studio

This is a song called "Negahe-Yar-e Man" that was written by my uncle, and I got my mom to sing it a few years back and recorded it. She sang it free-form and I had to add the music later which was very difficult, but I was happy how it turned out.

About 30 years ago, right after the Iranian revolution, I wrote this song "Exiles in the Country" when a friend of mine had moved here from Iran and his wife was unhappy and wanted to go back, he had lost his job and didn't know what to do, and even though he was "in exile" here in the States, he yearned for back home. They finally broke up and she returned and he stayed.

Dear Friends, a few months ago I found a reel to reel tape I had recorded in the 80's before the Shahin & Sepehr days, of some songs I had written and performed, 3 of them in Persian and 1 in English, two of them with poems by Forough Farrokhzad ("Buseh" &" Asir") and one of them with lyrics written by a friend about how much I missed Iran called"Anja" (it was right after the revolution).

I took this in Isfahan while in Iran a few months back and he has the picture of Colonel Sanders but says it's himself, "Zia" and his pizza joint is called Zia Pizza Kentucky but the initials he uses are ZFC like KFC, and it doesn't make sense, but was great to see.
