In a historic verdict that will have long standing effect, the Federal Court of the United States of America has quashed the appeal of the majority Baha'i Faith (popularly known as Heterodox Baha'i Faith – HBF) for patent on use of term Baha'i for itself. Although this is not the only time such a verdict has been passed (such verdicts have come twice earlier), this verdict comes at a time when the Baha'i Faith is gripped under sectarian claims.

That was a comfortable, out of the way posting. Especially since it allowed him to put the distance of half the world between himself and what had transpired recently.

Recently two articles posted on net effectively analyzed exaggerated Baha’i census. One “Exit by troops”

The first article is a very moderate view of the author, whereas the second article “The Three Type of Baha’i census of India” is much deeper analysis supported by documents authenticated by figures.

Ibrahim George Kheiralla was born at Mount Lebanon in Syria and educated at Beirut University. He moved to Cairo where he went into business. While there he learned about the Baha'i faith and accepted it. In 1892 he immigrated to New York, and then to Chicago where he started converting people to the Baha'i religion. He married four times and had three children. He wrote several books and eventually broke with Abdul Baha who was the head of the world movement.

His early partner Anton Haddad wrote about this period here.

The National Baha'i Center in Wilmette, IL claims that there are 140,000 Baha'is in the United States. However, it is almost axiomatic among Baha'is that half of the Faith's enrolled members are inactive. In fact, the reality may be even worse than that. One independent poll on American religions estimated that there are only 28,000 people in this country who consider themselves Baha'is.

Where the Haifan Baha'i sect refuses to even recognize the very existence of other Baha'i sects, claiming that because those sects have so few adherents they are insignificant and virtually non-existent.

The punishment of a thief:

Baha writes in Aqdas, “When caught for the first time, exile and for the second time, imprisonment, is decreed for a thief. On the third offense, place a mark upon his brow so that he may be recognized by it”.

This means that if a thief is caught for the first time, he is to be exiled. Then he goes to another city and steals there, it will be as if he is caught for the first time as people will not be knowing of his past.

The Government of Uzbekistan deported a number of Baha’is from the neighboring countries as they were secretly involved in propagation of Baha’i Faith. About 15 Baha’is were arrested by the religious ministry on information provided by local Mahalla committee that a full scale deceptive conversion was on its way in Tashkent Baha’i centre.

Tashkent - The Security department of Government of Uzbekistan while on routine Check arrested 15 Baha’is for preaching Baha’i Faith to the children and junior youth below 16 years. These children, from different cities were taken to Baha’i centre in the name of moral teachings without the consent of their parents.
