بنیاد کودک آمریکا در سال 1994 با هدف حمایت از کودکان با استعداد و هدایتِ مددجویان به تحصیل، در آمریکا به ثبت رسید. این سازمان خیریه، غیر انتفاعی است و هیچگونه وابستگی دولتی، سیاسی و مذهبی ندارد. بنیاد کودک تا کنون 13000 کودک را تحت پوشش داشته که تعداد کثیری از آنها از دبیرستان و دانشگاه فارغ التحصیل شده اند.

The UN Habitat Youth Fund grant for $25,000 will fund a technology schoolprogram for 650 youth ages 19-25 in the poor regions of Mazar-e-sharif,Afghanistan. Students participating in this program will learn basic computerskills and how to use internet resources. These skills will greatly increasetheir opportunity for future success. A small office building has been purchasedin Mazar-e-sharif which will provide space for the classes, as well as the ChildFoundation office in Afghanistan.
