In recent years the subject of nuclear technology and nuclear facilities in Iran has dominated other news in the country, and in the international media. Some Iranians support it arguing that Iran has the right to have nuclear facilities for its peaceful purposes. Other Iranians are against it, arguing the following:

- Iran has vast reservoir of oil, gas, and other minerals for her energy, revenue, and other needs.

Zahra was the only educated member in her family. Her parents came to Tehran in 1960, from a village in Khuzestan to have more opportunity. Her father got a job as gardener in a couple of houses in the Northern part of Tehran. Their son got a job in a government building as a janitor. Their oldest daughter had married at 13, to a relative ten years older than her, and had two daughters. Later, they were able to get an apartment in the government project in Naziabad, south of Tehran.

خبر کوتاه بود : "با کمال تاسف اطلاع یافتیم که آقای دکتر محمد مصدق سحرگاه امروز پنج شنبه در ساعت 5/ 4 بامداد 14/12/1345 در سن 87 سالگی در اتاق شماره 62 بیمارستان نجمیه تهران زندگی را بدرود گفت". خبری بسیار کوتاه برای مردی بزرگ!!!

They were guest of the Iranian Ministry of Health, and wanted to do research on viral infections transmitted by insects. They were stationed at Pasteur Institute of Iran (PIOI).
