I have recently started a page on Facebook called, Iranian Songs (Lyrics, Videos & Links). I try to post an Iranian song each day. What may be a bit different about my page is that I include the lyrics of the songs I am posting too. I do this with the hope that the visitors (or at least some of them) read and ponder upon the lyrics instead of just "hearing" it! We are waiting to watch "dreams come true"....As Kermit puts it in the "Rainbow Connection": Rainbows are visions, but only illusions...Someday we will find it, the rainbow connection. How Come Massy Tadjedin Is Not Well Known?!

I just finished watching the movie "Last Night" and at the end, was pleasantly surprised to read that it was written, directed and produced by Massy Tadjedin, an Iranian-American young woman. Mind you, this was no student film either! Oscar Nominee, Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington (of Avatar) played the main characters.

When I blogged about Aria back in early October, he and his band, For All I Am, were hopeful to be able to raise the needed funds to go on their first tour. Their hopes and dreams have come to be their reality!

They started their tour a couple of weeks ago and the audience keeps growing as they play at each new venue. I have been following them on Facebook and enjoying the messages left by fans:

I had a hundred ideas for my " GARDEN" when I moved in 17 years ago. My friend made fun of me and the way I talked about that small space. Let me see if I can clean it up and repeat what she used to say: "Yeh hayat dareh andazeh ch*s mikhad toosh saad taa G**z bokoneh". You see, it was "backyard or balcony" to visitors, but to me it was going to be my GARDEN.
