Im so impressed by the creative thinking of this group of people.

I dont know about you but Im so excited and hopeful about Ahmad's visit to New York this week. It is a real opportunity for Ahmad to witness the strength behind the protests of the rest of the world against what he stands for and there is nothing he can do to silence them. That is what is soo exciting.

Migrants at sea are not toxic cargo!

When I first saw this article "Migrants at sea are not toxic cargo" I thought here is another report about Immigrants and the tough times they have to go through. Ok it is still that too but when I really thought about it, it makes me wonder where we as the human race are headed.

♥ ♥ Javane's 'Writting Love' ♥ ♥

I don't really know what romantic type love means? I love my children but I don't always like what they do, who they are while in the process of working stuff out. I allow them the mistakes because I know they are still learning. I love my parents but I don't like some of the things that happened in my childhood but I dont hold it against them because I know they did the best they could. I love my cats but I dont like it when they bring home dead mouches. I forgive them because I know it's their natural instinct.

Tolerance and intolerance

I started with some vague thoughts about all the intolerance on IC, and decided that what happens on IC is in fact a reflection of what happens in larger world. After some cerebral meandering I decided that intolerance is a human condition be it about food, disease, attitude or practice. It comes in all shapes and sizes, personal, group, national, international. It’s a huge area open for debate.

Shayan : Amour of love

Shayan is a young Zoroastrian singer/songwriter born in India and currently living in London. His singing career took of in 2007 and following a concert at the Albert Hall in London where he was a supporting act and he is said to be a super star in the making ( Time out).

He came to the Uk after the death of his parents. He was a poor student as students usually are, and he sold himself on ebay and raised enough money to launch himself! Very enterprising!

TRUTH TUBE ...... shocking footage.

I followed through a link and eventually came to a site called 'truth tube'. Hmm.. Ohhhh I thought this might be interesting. I put the words Iran into the search engine and it came back with a few hits.

I dont think I had really prepared myself for what I was going to see despite the warnings about being over 18, or the graphic content therein. We see these warnings all the time on youtube and its not nearly as explicit as you are lead to believe.

The head of the Judiciary in Iran has suspended Delara's sentence. She will not be executed as planned. The suspension is on the grounds that she atones for the alledged crime.

Valnetines day and it's not so loving history.

It seems almost every culture in the world has a day when they celebrate Love. Christians celebrate ‘valentines day’ or ’san valentine’ in Spain and in Portuegal it’s boyfriend/girlfriend day “Dia dos Namorados.

Asia has it’s own special day for love and the Singaporeans, Chinese and Koreans spend the most money on gifts than any where else in the world. In Korea, the 14th day of every month is designated for some display of love and affection and the giving of a gift in celebration of love: wine day, hug day, black day, kiss day…..

sokoot talast

Of course silence, the lack of words in social interaction ( and for the purpose of this blog, I include the written word) can be taken both ways: Postively it can mean agreement, like mindedness or consent, even disagreement. A negative connotation could for the originator represent a sign of being dis connected from what is acceptable or it could simply imply a lack of interest but in the main it might be a sign of anger or hostility.
