A friend of mine is starting to bring up the Pahlavi family more frequently as an example of how well Iranians used to have it. He’s now sending more emails about them and reminders of their different anniversaries and special dates: the Shah and the Queen’s birthdays have been one after the other and tomorrow it’ll be The Prince’s birthday. I still recall how pro-democracy my friend used to be so I had to ask what was it about the monarchy that he thought resembled democracy?

I saw this VOA special about my friend's website. He jokingly sent the link to me with a message "reserve your spot today" which is his way of getting back at me for all the teasing I have done about his new role as the internet "Farokhlagha khanoum" (if you have read or watched Dayi jan Napoleon, you'll get the joke)...

Despite my lighthearted comments about Cameron's new role in the online Iranian community, I believe that this is a serious matter.

در راستای اینکه محمد رضا گلزار ممنوع التصویر شده است، دلایل این اتفاق نه چندان غیرطبیعی به عرض حضار می رسد.

اسمش محمدرضا است، اگر ' روح الله' بود ممنوع التصویر نمی شد.

I've been receiving emails and notices that George W Bush is planning on pardoning all the crimes committed by him and his administration right before he leaves office.

The last action of "Presidential Pardon" has been used and/or abused every time a US president leaves office. Will he be able to block all the classified material from being exposed to the public?
