Early December 2010, early morning, she wakes up her husband by shaking in bed. He wakes up, looks at her. She looks scared, has her fists clinched, shaking as if she was cold. All her joints look locked and she rattles the words, “I’m scared, I’m scared, I can’t do this any more”. “What can’t you do any more, what are you scared of?” asked her husband, while holding her tight, brushing her hair back and kissing her forehead. “I don’t want to go to work”, she replied.

پرسه در خاک غریب، پرسه ای بی انتهاست

تکه شعری است از یکی از آهنگ های داریوش. یاد آوری همیشگی که همراه با نکته های روزانه گویای اینست که اینجا وطن نیست، این خاک، خاک من نیست. هرچه روز ها و سالها مرا از تاریخ هجرت دورتر میکنند، این حس غربت و بیگانگی آنقدر کمتر نمیشود.

Don’t ever remember wanting a child, ever. Even when I was a child or a teenager, just never pictured myself with a “byproduct” of myself.

The feeling may have taken a turn when I got married nearly seventeen years ago, but still did not see myself as a father. These mysterious “fatherhood” feelings hit me for the first time some fourteen years ago, give or take a few months. This guy, who I was playing football with, had a daughter. We started seeing each other more and more, once we found out that our homes were just minutes away.

برای آنانی که از دهه شصت چیزی نمی دانند یا آن را به یاد ندارند

سلام دوستان

بی مقدمه بگویم ، مدتی است وقتی برای جوانترها از جوانیم و شرایط روزهمدوره های من هم دچار فراموشی گشته اند و همین بیست ، سی سال پیش را از یاد برده اند.

این وبلاگ فقط به یادآوری آن روزها می پردازد و بس.

Do you think "W" is going to run out of room in his hat soon? I mean there are so many feathers in it, he either looks like an Indian chief or a chicken, and I think the latter suits him better. Chicken George has a ring to it that "Chief George" will never have.

I like to talk a little bit about the war in Persian Gulf, big doings in the Persian Gulf. You know my favorite part of that war? It was the first war we had that was on every channel, even cable. And the war got good ratings too. Well, we like war! We are war like people. We like war because we're good at it.
