Prince William is the elder son of The Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales.
He was born at 9.03pm on 21st June 1982, at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London. A bulletin announced that the Royal baby weighed 7lb 1 1/2oz.On 4th August 1982, Prince William Arthur Philip Louis was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Robert Runcie, in the Music Room at Buckingham Palace.
After attending Mrs Mynors School, Prince William became a pupil at Wetherby School in London, from 15th January 1987 until 5th July 1990.
From September 1990, The Prince attended Ludgrove School in Berkshire, for five years until 5th July 1995. He then attended Eton College from July 1995 and studied Geography, Biology and History of Art at A Level.
Prince William was 15-years-old when Diana, Princess of Wales was killed in a car crash in Paris on 31st August 1997. Prince William and Prince Harry walked behind their mother’s cortege at her funeral which was held at Westminster Abbey on 6th September 1997.
After a gap year in which he visited Chile, Belize, worked on British dairy farms and visited countries in Africa, Prince William chose to study at St Andrews University in Fife, Scotland. He graduated with a 2:1 in Geography in 2005.
After a period of work experience, Prince William joined the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as an Officer Cadet.
He was commissioned as an army officer in front of Her Majesty The Queen at Sandhurst in December 2006 and joined the Household Cavalry (Blues and Royals) as a Second Lieutenant.
On St George's Day (23rd April 2008) The Queen appointed Prince William to be a Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter. Click here to read more. He was installed at The Annual Garter ceremony held at Windsor Castle.

On 21st December 1984, Prince Henry Charles Albert David was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Robert Runcie, in St George’s Chapel, Windsor.
After attending Mrs Mynors School, Prince Harry became a pupil at Wetherby School in London, from September 1987. In September 1992, Harry joined his older brother William at Ludgrove School in Berkshire where he stayed for five years.
He then attended Eton College from September 1998 where he took his GCSE’s and A Levels.
After completing his A Levels, Prince Harry took a gap year during which he visited Australia, Argentina and Africa, where he made a documentary about the plight of orphans in Lesotho.
Prince Harry entered the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in May 2005. He successfully completed a 44-week training course as an Officer Cadet, before being commissioned in April 2006 as a Second Lieutenant in the Household Cavalry (Blues and Royals).
During this period, Prince Harry co-founded the charity Sentebale with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in memory of their mothers (Sentebale means ‘Forget me not’) to support orphans and vulnerable children in Lesotho.
In February 2008, Prince Harry completed more than two months service with the British Army in Helmand province, Afghanistan, as a ‘Forward Air Controller’ for NATO forces.
On 13th April 2008, Prince Harry was promoted from Second Lieutenant to Lieutenant.
In January 2009, he began a two-and-a-half year training course to become a fully operational, full-time Army Air Corps helicopter pilot. He remains an officer in the Household Cavalry during the training period.
Prince Harry’s principal residences are at Clarence House in London and Highgrove in Gloucestershire.
A new Household Office was set up at St James’s Palace, London, for Prince Harry and for his brother, Prince William, in January 2009 to reflect their growing public lives.
The Prince is currently Patron of six organisations (including Sentebale) and he holds two honorary military appointments (in the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force).
The Prince focuses much of his charitable activity around the Princes’ Charities Forum, a grouping of organisations with which he and his brother have close links and which assists in promoting ideas and joint initiatives to the benefit of all the members.

(CNN) -- What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas -- unless you're Prince Harry and TMZ publishes pictures of you, or someone who looks very much like you, cavorting naked during a game of strip billiards.
The tabloid website posted the photos online Tuesday night. It said the romp featuring the royal, who is third in line to the throne, took place four days earlier at a "high rollers hotel suite" on the Las Vegas strip.
One photo shows a redheaded man, who resembles Harry, stark naked but for a wristwatch and a necklace. The man's hands cup his genitals. His face is turned toward the television set in the suite. And his body partially shields that of another person, also naked.

Prince William has qualified as a Royal Air Force search and rescue captain, Clarence House has said.
The Duke of Cambridge passed his tests on 29 May. A spokesman said he was "pleased to have passed the milestone".
The prince serves with No 22 Squadron at RAF Valley in Anglesey, north Wales. He had been serving as a co-pilot.
Clarence House said he would now "command search and rescue operations in RAF Sea King helicopters".

Prince qualifies as Apache pilot (bbc)Prince Harry has qualified as an Apache helicopter pilot after 18 months of rigorous training in the UK and the US, the Ministry of Defence has said.
The third in line to the throne was awarded a prize for best co-pilot gunner at a dinner on Wednesday at his training base near Ipswich, Suffolk.
He and 20 others who graduated now have limited "combat-ready status".
Previously, the prince has hinted of his wish to return to Afghanistan after his first tour of duty was cut short.
Last April, he suggested it would be pointless to train as a helicopter pilot if he never served.I'd just be taking up a spare place for somebody else if they didn't have me going out on the job, " he said.
In 2007-8, Prince Harry served 10 weeks in southern Afghanistan as a forward air controller, directing planes dropping bombs on Taliban positions in Helmand province.

by Darius Kadivar on Fri Oct 22, 2010 03:51 PM PDTI saw a similar display of Foolish Behavior in the French Army by Far Older Officers when I was doing my Military Service in France on Saint Barbe Day where they dressed up as Nazi Officers and asked us to play Prisoners of War.
I found that downright silly and offensive but that was what they did because it was a tradition like Holloween once in the year ( in Times of Peace) for the Army Officers of any given unit to go Crazy for just one day. The entire show is overlooked by the military Hierarchy and officially it does not exist. Yet The Officers Only not the ordinary soildiers were allowed to dress up in Roman, Nazi, Chinese, Mongolian or any other uniform of their choice and fool around and get drunk without the slightest accountability.
The Next day they all pretended nothing had happened. If a Photographer had been there I can tell you that Prince Harry's Foolish Behavior would have paled in comparison.
It is common to dress up in the Officers Mess and amongst Friends and play Cowboys and Indians or Nazis Vs Allies during long Manouvers just to cool off the tension.
Harry was a Kid and Immature like anyone his age all the more that the only knowledge of WWII for the majority of the kids of his generation is through Television Series like Hogans Heros.
The Fascination for Uniforms is nothing new and any boy who claims to contrary is a blunt lier.
In addition This photo was taken without his prior knowledge to begin with and at the time it caused a stir for which the boy apologized for his stupid behavior.
