In memory of Fardin

Today would have been Fardin's 81 birthday. He was born on Februrary 4, 1931. One of the most well liked actors of our country, ever. He was also a great wrestler before getting into acting. He won a silver medal in World Championship tournaments in Japan, back in 1954. He died on April 6, 2000. Rest in peace Fardin, you are so much missed.

It's interesting to see his views on other countries which try to exploit Iran. Ironically, Ahmadinejad's views in some ways are a bit similar to what Shah says in this interview.

I know I shouldn't use those two names in the same sentence, but what they say is not much different, although the reason for saying those things are very different.

On the right, Mohammad Mokhtari. Mohammad was killed by gun shot by regime forces and died in hospital...

They lost their lives in the fight for freedom of Iran, and they shall not be forgotten.

Neda's picture at Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) concert

I just got back from Roger Waters The Wall concert in Toronto. I'm sort of at loss for words to describe my experience during this epic musical/theatrical/visual/rock show. I have shot most of the songs on my camera which I will post to Youtube. But I have to say, during the second song "Thin Ice" they showed pictures of fallen soldiers and they showed Neda's picture as well. I just had tears running down my face when I saw that. So now, enjoy the video here, her picture comes on at 4:50 minute mark and listen to the crowds' reaction.
