I personally think Iran's olympic team done very well so far and I wanted to be the first to congratulate them.

In fact beside olympic competition they also showed they are great achievers considering the present political situation.

Until yesterday, 9th Aug, they were ahead of Japan in gold medals.

I am sure there are a few more medals to come.

I wish them all great and small GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should Politics Effect our Judgements?

We all know police in Iran, like its' government, does not have a good reputation. But to be fair once in a while they have to do something good for their community. Recently there was a video clip of them killing a bank rubber in a city in Iran. A lot of people quickly jumped into the conclusions that it may have been a political killing and the person was unfairly killed by a bullet into his head. If it was truly a bankrobber then what? They did not even use 10 bullets. Is every Iranian police personnel a criminal like IRI officials?

WAR, the Worst-case Scenario

None of us likes war and bloodbath in Iran, not even those who want a military attach against IRI.

As far as my experience tells me Iranians can’t even hold a gun properly to kill someone. They never seen what an arm or leg looks like if a bullet has taken half of it and blood is pouring down. They never seen a dead woman or child with a bullet in the head with human brain all over the floor. They never seen a baby being cut in half by some angry soldier. Iranians by nature are not worriers.

Below is a list of signs and events before a dictatorial government disappears. Have in mind not necessarily all of them show up. Please feel free to add your own.

1- Political executions increase. BUT hardly any one tries to shoot the leader or his politicians.

2- Crime increases. Oppositions blame government and government blames the opposition.

3- Officials say different things about the same issue. It seems they can’t agree in anything, in particular human right issue.

Considering the amount of lies the present government broadcasts, if their leader dies will they be brave enough to inform the public?

I have this feeling he maybe already dead and we are being kept in the dark. This type of behaviour from a dictatorial government is not new and according to their needs they may just do that.

Not because we miss anything if he goes, except the last laugh, but how will we know???

Believe it or not, Iran is going to have a democratic and charismatic leader in the not too far future. His government is not based on monarchy but WILL invest in Iranians and Iran. So hopefully everyone will be treated justly. He is a strange character and was born before, in other words he had a previous life (maybe Mark Antony).

My innitial understanding of 'Iranian of the Day' section was that one has to be unique in some kind of positive acheivements. Want it to be arts, politics, science, business or community. Occasionally it is a new born which is fine. But do not understand why this section is used for those who may have/had a brush with the law. This is a general comment and is not regarding anyone specific.
