Please write to google map (I search for a while and found a place to put my comment, but no email to contact an official google personell) and let complain that you do not see the name Persian Gulf in their maps at http://maps.google.com/.

If anyone finds a contact info, please let the rest of us know. If we all work together, we can fix this.

Suppose that you have a democratic government in place that allows freedom of press. The press begins to make accusations about your government and more and more press release confirm those claims. The government in return creates a public station where they answer to those claims. Western media and those internal critics laugh at those explanations as propaganda. At the mean time, there are many pro and anti government media that pops out. Each points their figures at the other for being anti Iran, pro west, anti west, etc.

We did it. Google took notice and fixed the Persian Gulf translation. It is now correctly translating it to Persian Gulf [May be now we should campaign for putting "always" in there too ;) ]. I just had to write this and say how proud I am of all the Iranians. This is just to show what we can all accomplish when we unite.

My Trip to Vietnam

I can’t write a report about Vietnam as I did for Malaysia. As soon as I landed in Vietnam, I was greatly attracted to that place. The city Ho Chi Minh (aka Saigon), the country Vietnam. I made a mistake and tried to take a picture from the immigration officer. He got mad at me and said something in broken English. I put the camera in my pocket as the guy behind me said “don’t you know that you are in a communist country and can’t take pictures from officials or government buildings?” I didn’t believe him, and he thought that I was crazy.

The Islamic Republic is taking a wrong path. They are becoming more centralized in power, which is good news for the revolutionary minded people and bad news for the reformists. For a few months now I am holding a theory that Iran is headed towards a absolute dictatorial state with no hope of turning back. To do so they have alienated some of the population to a point that for the first time in Islamic Republic history, demonstrations will not be an easy task for the system to control. And as many are aware, demonstrations happen regularly in Iran.

In accounting, a mistake, no matter how big, does not count once the price has been paid. The future decisions are irrelevant of historical transactions. To accept this idea I had to change my core philosophy in life. Previous mistakes, or any past transactions should not effect our future decisions certainly was an eye-opening concept not easily digestible. During my college years I had read many philosophical ideas and concepts yet the viewpoint that I have taken with me since then is from my accounting class.
