A concert that was not there (Namjoo in San Francisco)

On Saturday September 7th Mohsen Namjoo started his first American tour in San Francisco. This was to be one of a kind tour that would introduce Namjoo and his amazing talent to people all over U.S and not just the Iranian crowd. As a music fan and a huge fan of Namjoo I was so excited to to see him live and keep picturing how he will be introduced, him talking about his music and sharing some of the facts behind his poems and etc.

Unemployment day 3

This morning again I woke up thinking about last Friday’s meeting again, I just realize how horrible I was treated and I should have done the same thing they did by doing my best to make them look bad. That whole thought process took 10 minutes and after that I was ready to start a new day.

Unemployment day 2

It’s only been 2 working days since I officially resigned and some how it feels like a whole year. That’s a side of working I will never miss, my days are slower and I have time to do so many things. One thing that bothered me was when I woke up I had a flash back of Friday and how I felt during that meeting.

Unemployment day 1

This morning I woke up at 8:30pm and the very first thought was “I’m late”, then it hit me “I’m not late”. I still woke up but it was a different feeling, I wanted to wake up and yet I had all the reasons to go back to bed. This is the first time in about 6 years that I did not have to work and I wasn’t on vacation or sick or any other valid reason.

Greed causes Mistakes

I have heard this phrase that no one is perfect, in Farsi we say humans have the right to make mistakes. I'm a firm believer of that, in factI have yet to meet one person who lived a perfect life and most likely won't see one ever.

Sushi and Basketball

The other Saturday I was running around trying to catch up to all the shopping's and cleaning that got piled up during the week, when I saw a new sushi place that opened up in the area. Being a huge fan of sushi I decided to give it a try. The place was very nice designed with flat screen TVs that were programed to show sport channels, when I walked in I noticed that I way the only customer at time of the day (it was 3:00pm) on a Saturday.

my letter to Dr. Bollinger

Hi Dr. Bollinger

I just wanted to thank you for inviting the president of Islamic Republic of Iran to your campus. With this gesture you showed that your University is open to all topics and discussion, some thing that is missing from 99% of other academic institution world wide.
As a person who grew up in an academic environment in Iran (my mother was a professor in Tehran), I see the problems that they have and how nothing is done to help professors and students and the only possible solution is to use a guidance of people in your caliber.
