دیشب تمام شب
می رقصیدم
با مردی به دار آویخته

تاب می خورد پاهایش
درتاب دامنم
روی شانه ام سرش نهاده به لطافت
می خواندم آخرین زمزمه هایش را
درحلقه دستهایش بالایم می برد
تا چلچراغها، روی هوا که دور می زدیم
دور نسیم موسیقی

تنها هنگام که گم کردم پیش از سحر

پاهایم به زمین نمی رسد

با این بچه چکار کنم

این بچه که روی پله های پشت بام

نشسته می لرزد تا پدرمادرش آن پایین سرهم داد می کشند،

این دختر که خودش را توی حمام

حبس کرده، پاهایش توی تشت خالی

و بیرون نمی آید تا تکلیفش را روشن نکرده،

این دختر که تکلیفهایش ننوشته پخش زمین زار می زند

purple peel strips off

over the face of the counter.

Her cheek swollen is marked

by a bruise, the shape of an eggplant.

She tilts over to check if the meat

is soft. The oil leaps up, scalds.

She pulls back, leans on a crutch hidden

under the torn wing of her white chador.

I see the scratches on her neck
