This is a short news clip by the BBC (say what you must about them) that briefly describes the discovery and historical importance of Iran with regards to its vast oil/natural gas reserves. At minute 3:14 a Mr. Bijan Khajehpour briefly comments on whether Iranian oil has been beneficial to its inhabitants or whether it has hindered their social development due to it being highly sought out after by many imperialistic nations.

The documentary is called "The Oil Factor: Behind the War on Terror." It examines the link between oil interests and current U.S. military interventions. It includes original footage shot over a four-month period in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan as well as many interviews with a large array of personalities including Bush administration officials.

This film is very relevant to the current political situation. Let's get real, this is the driving force behind the US's historical hostility towards Iran.

Just look at Iraq, that country has become even more religious and conservative, and countless of innocents have died. If the US does attack Iran they will be polluting Iran's countryside with depleted uranium, in the form of anti-armor piercing bullets. They have already been doing that in Iraq and there are huge increases of rare cancers being reported in Iraq now.)
