In New York, defiant Ahmadinejad says Israel will be "eliminated."
Ahmadinejad threats and 'Mahdaviat'
In 2005, Ahmadinejad calling Israel a "tumour" and constant roaring the words of Ayatollah Khomeini that Israel should be wiped off the map is part of the plan to expedite 'The Dooms day.'The politics of those who believe in the 'Rapture' have a different meaning, when politics is enthused by the will of puritanical extremists to expedite the 'doomsday' the universal collateral damage means nothing. It is one thing to predict 'The Rapture' with no standing armies and quite another when you are on verge of a nuke.
Ahmadinejad's ideology of 'global chaos' is corner stone of Iranian state policy. President Ahmadinejad too is a firm believer in a Shiite version of 'Mahdaviat' like ultra-orthodox Sunni Juhaiman ibn Muhammad ibn Saif al Otaibi did. The case of entering the Holy Mosque in Mecca is originally linked to the expected Mahdi issue. It is argued that "Presidential obsession" with similar 'Mahdaviat' leads Mr. Ahmadinejad to "a conviction that leaves little room for compromise. He thinks that the Mahdi will come in near future as his knight in shining armour? The only missing link that in Presidents opinion delays Mahdi's arrival is that world is still far too peaceful, the degree of clash and disasters that will set the chain of celestial events of 'Mahdaviat' have to gather speed.
They entered the Mosque because they had a scenario for the course of the group, after swearing allegiance to Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mahdi (Muhammad Abdullah Al Qahtani). They adopted the scenario from the apocalyptic books of Dissentions and Signs of Doomsday. This scenario states that “The man swears allegiance at the corner of the Mosque, and this man performs a sit-in there and then an army comes from Tabuk only to be destroyed. Then this man comes out of the Holy Mosque, travels to Medina and fights the Antichrist.” Later on, he leaves Medina and travels to Palestine and fights the Jews there and kills them. Jesus Christ then comes back to break the cross and kill the swine. Afterwards, they will go to Syria and pray at the Umayyad Mosque and then Doomsday will occur. This was the scenario of the group according to the books of Dissentions and Signs of Doomsday.
The 'Iranian mess' is a component of that uncompromising ideological fixation. The altercation with America and Israel and wish to empower Iran with nuclear programs are all designed to lay the foundation for the Mahdi's return." Creation of universal strife and commotion is very much a part of Mahdaviat. Peace and cohabitation in the world means 'Mahdaviat' becomes superfluous. Iranian President is duty bound to help create environ which is conducive to Mahdi return, unfortunately 'universal peace' does not help the prophecies that are integral part of his understanding of the scriptures.
The President does puts his money where his mind is, in 2004, as mayor of Tehran, Mr. Ahmadinejad clandestinely instructed the city council to construct a magnificent boulevard to orchestrate and prepare for the Mahdi arrival, as a President he has allocated $17 million for a blue-tiled mosque closely associated with Mahdaviat in Jamkaran, south of the capital.
Present insanity, psychosis, wars and craftiness in politics of the Middle East has religious historical conjecture; higher the chaos and bigger the noise, the greater the chances of a divine intervention. Very few in the West can understand the undercurrents of self- obliteration so evident in Nasrullah's cult and multitude of suicide bombers. The question is to analyze events in context of the prophecies of 'doom and gloom' for the infidels as firmly believed by the leadership in Iran.

wonders, Ahmandinejad's antics aside, how many of us would have
really heard it as "goh-khordan" if it was not brought to
our attention in written or spoken words by someone else? When
pre-informed, one's mind gets quite fixed on the imagined
as much it does on the real. And we still call a man of 14
centuries ago lunatic because he took the imagined as real.

by Bavafa on Tue Sep 25, 2012 03:03 PM PDTAre you implying that if one does not explicitly condemn every single injustice in the world, then he/she should not take any stance on some of the more gruesome and recent events that is taking place TODAY? Do you know for a fact that I have not condemn the other injustices by Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE and America?
Palestinians crimes against Israeli citizens have been condemned by me in the past and will be so any time they do it, but not when it is against the occupying forces and in the defense/freeing their home land. Likewise, I will condone any defense by Israelis if/when their country (what is recognized by UN) is invaded or occupied.
And you are wrong, I am among very few on IC that regularly and consistently condemn both IRI and Israel for their crimes against humanity, albeit far more IRI than Israel. In my book and evidence certainly show that hypocrisy is on the account of those who give a pass to one nation/group and condemn another for more or less the same act.

by Fesenjoon2 on Tue Sep 25, 2012 02:45 PM PDTthe answer's easy:
It's because the people who do this, are trying to distract attention away from Iran's acute problems. Otherwise there is NO JUSTFIABLE EXCUSE to focus our attention away from Iran's problems and focus on Israel-Palestine.
So THERE IS NO EXCUSE for Iran involving itself in this business.
Therefore the only excuse left is that those who keep bringing up the "evil Israeli-jew-zio-bahai" shit ARE JUST SIMPLY SUPPORTERS OF THE IRI NEZAAM. Plain and simple.

"in my book, there is not that much different between a
regime that oppresses its own citizen and a regime that does the same
only to its neighbors. Thus you see my condemnation of both regimes. "
Really? So if two nations are enemies and kill each others citizens for over 60 years only the nation that has more killing power (Israel in this instance) should be condemned? So Palestinians get a pass for all their past killings on innocent people?
What about Russia killing all those Chechnyans? Have you ever condemned Russia here?
What about the Chinese in Tibet? Do you Condemn China here regularly?
What about Kashmir/India & Pakistan......
What about Sudanese? Syrians......... The list goes on and the Brutality is 100 times worse than the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.....
The list goes on, yet IRI crimes are mentioned and you scream ISRAEL here every day.
Your comparisons and interjection of Israel into the mix every time IRI is mentioned is very shaky and sad if you ask me. Please don't stop doing it on my account... Continue doing it. However, know that its full of Hypocrisy because of the mentioned cases above.
I am just giving you my two cents. Please do not be offended.
Now I have to go and fast 26 hours for Yom Kippur. I will not be able to respond.....Regards
Why should AN condemn Israel on behalf of Iranians?
by Shepesh on Tue Sep 25, 2012 01:48 PM PDTWhy is it any of our business? These condemnations and rhetoric has got us into enough trouble already. And why do some think it should be equal priority, and said in the same breath, to our huge domestic issues? We should be thinking and concerned about IRANIANS. not Arab v "Zionist", the IRI politic.

Dr Mohandess: Fair is fair, exactly my point. The coverage AN is getting is well deserved and you hardly can interpret my comment as a defense of him, only my criticism of the publication that when it comes to Israel, in my view, it is very one sided. This is especially sad that they are in a free and open society and will not get the wrath of the justice dept, as it is not the case in Iran, if they were to apply the same standards to ALL.

It is not fair to express such sentiments regarding the media in the states, where they are much more fair and balanced than many others in various countries, despite any shortcomings they most certainly have, but then again so do media in other nations, and to a much wider and extended magnitude.
They tend to give crap to their own leaders and some foreign leaders alike. Can you say that with a straight face when it comes to other publications?
