Our history has shown that the name of such great Iranians are what remains through time, long after the scum of our society who held the power are forgotten. Everybody remembers Hafez, but nobody gives a darn about Shah Shuja (even if they have heard about him..)

Smart students usually don't do Ph.D. in Engineering in advanced countries. Ph.D. is for research lovers, and Engineering is an applied science than research science. On the other hand, because of the nature of competition Grants are less challenging for hard working engineering professors.
