Iranian of the Day

I am a playwright and actor and I'd like to invite you to my first evening length solo performance in San Francisco: Persepolis, Texas: FOBspring to Drag Queen in One Generation! As an Iranian-American and an art-maker, I feel a certain responsibility to showing solidarity with my brothers and sisters living lives of truth in situations where doing so has much higher stakes than anything I've ever known. For this show, my alter ego, Mona G. Hawd will be doing a few drag numbers, and I will take on a cast of characters and use narrative and movement in order to tell this strange story.
