YAS

(sigh) Majid do you have any idea what you are talking about? Have you ever heard YAS and his lyrics. The extent of your knowledge is some guy you saw grabbing their crotch and cussing, then you don't know anything about YAS and his music. Do a little research first, listen and then give your opinion. Then you'll see why he is getting so much attention.

YO YO YO, YOU THE WHO.......! u know waraam seieen?

by Majid on

The "Artist"!!! grabs his crotch, walks from one side of the stage to the other while almost swallowing the microphone, then he/she cusses to the drum beat and incites violence !!

What part of this has anything to do with "MUSIC" ?

If you want to call "Notorious PIG" or TU PAC SHAKUR" an artist... be my guest .

They both are 6 feet under for what they were promoting! Thank GOD!

To each his own

Nobody thought the Beatles would be as big as they became when they first started making their music. I think it is still too early to talk about rap music in Iran. You can't say what's good music and what's bad, because "your" good music might sound awful to me, and vice versa. Yas is allright.

RAP

by IRANdokht on

Am I getting too old to appreciate the young generation's music? Somehow I just don't seem to be able to wrap my head around Rap music...

I can appreciate it as a form of outspoken resistance or even activism, but to say that it will become the most popular form of "music" sounds too far-fetched.
