Ah! That is the dilemma

In all honesty, I have defended Iranian women as well. After all some of my best friends are Iranian women. I get feisty when Iranian women are trashed too

However, you are correct in that I was less than my objective and positive self. I guess after more than 7 months of seeing Western women trashed by some not all on this web site, I finally had an allergic reaction

I personally, get over joyed when I see women succeed regardless of their ethnic group. I for one intend to purchase her CD. I will have to special order it from circuit city or best buy but it will be worth it

Dialogue among...

Hey, we're all here to give our personal point of view on different subjects about Iran or Iranians?! Even sometimes we give each other a piece of our minds, good, bad or ugly. And I personnaly think everybody is welcome, mostly those from different cultures and/or nationalities cuz they're the ones who can actually help us to achieve a much more W I D E R view, overall. Or vice versa. We all learn from EACH OTHER.That's why all NON or half Persians are very welcome to express their opinions or whatever...

Sounds just like some, not all  the North Americans when speaking about minorities. As we are continued to be marginalized, demonized and dehumanized. Truly sad.

This site is meant for iranians and if you don't like what you see, then leave the site. Beive me, you can have your normal life without this site! But, this site has impact on our families and our beloved Iran, we cannot just walk away! We don't like and don't agree with a lot of comments that are offensive to us as well, but we are all on one side, but you come in as the defender of western women against the non western backward iranians! Many of us have "western" women and children too! You don't need to defen them, since we would, or wouldn't!

I just caught Dr. Sabeti's profile on the PBS science show NOVA (7/2/08) and am incredibly proud that she is an American. Because let's face it, in Iran they'd be more interested to see that her head is covered rather than caring about what's inside of it.
